As the Irish Government announced that there are no plans to extend the visas further than 31/05, the authorities also said that:
๐ขThose who have already applied to renew their registration and are waiting for it to be processed, are still legally permitted to remain in the State after 31/05 as long as they provide proof that they have applied for online renewal and are waiting for it to be issued.
โก๏ธProspective employees intending to take up employment under these arrangements should print the notice from the immigration website and present it if requested by their employer.
โ ๏ธNote that ISD is experiencing a very large volume of applications the current processing time to renew a permission is 10 weeks. It can then take a further two weeks to receive a new IRP card by post.
