This is a bit of an experiment. An exhibition based on our new issue, displaying lots of original artwork featured in the mag, plus some new work from featured artists. And slapping the pages of our mag on the walls too. I initially just planned to do a standard launch at Pallas Projects cause it’s such a cool venue, nice mix of indoor and outdoor space (and the staff have been so sound and helpful) but I kind of got carried away, inspired in a big way by what and .exe did in collaboration with at .projects.studios last year on their Marian Year project.

In addition to the exhibition launch on Thursday 6th, we’ve also arranged a day of events with and who’ve organised some class writers to read from their latest issues ~ & Kimberly Campanello ~ on Saturday 8th, alongside reading from Holy Show. All three journal’s mags and swag will be on sale throughout the exhibition. Thanks to Dean & Emily; and Catherine, Liam & Seán for taking a punt on this.

Huge thanks to for sorting us with Ireland’s finest tipples for both Thurs and Sat events.

And massive thanks as always to the Arts Council with funding our growing ambitions for launch events and productions.

Hopefully see yous at one or other of these events, or drop in during the afternoon on the Friday (12-6pm) or Sunday (12-3pm)

We got in touch with a few months ago seeing if they’d be up for a joint launch of our mags in Donegal this summer. Of course they were. Emily and Jeremy have turned this into a proper day-long literary spectacular. Ramelton Notions! We’re so happy to be a part of it, excited to attend it, and looking forward to seeing it again next year maybe, and the year after. With more of our journaling friends in the mix we hope. But first things first. Join us for the first iteration and help us make it a roaring success on Saturday 19th August.

𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗪𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 – 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗔𝗨𝗟 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗟𝗘𝗦. Town Hall, 3pm

reads from his new memoir, Adventures in Wonderland, and talks to about his amazing life at the forefront of the music revolution.

Over his 40+ year career, he has worked with some of the biggest names in music, at different times managing the careers of Van Morrison, Ray Davies of The Kinks, The Waterboys and Dexy’s Midnight Runners.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐢𝐠’𝐬 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐱 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐲 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰 Town Hall, 5pm

The Pig’s Back is a literary journal produced by the RCC Letterkenny and edited by Ramelton residents Dean Fee and Emily Cooper. Ramelton Notions is a collaboration with Dublin-based arts magazine Holy Show (Brendan Mac Evilly and Peter McNama). Readings on the night from IAN MALENEY, ALICIA MCAULEY, ROSA MÄKELÄ and BRENDAN CALLAGHAN.

𝐄𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞 / 𝐒𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞 Conways Bar, 9pm

Drawing from an array of influences – stemming from an early exposure to the rattling impact of 90s grunge and the visceral inventiveness of The Velvet Underground and Nico, to a later appreciation for shoegaze’s immersive soundscapes and storied country music by Lee Hazlewood – these elements colour Elaine Malone’s brilliantly expansive psych-rock material.

‘Slow Place Like Home‘ is the music of producer/musician Keith Mannion.
