It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ted Dunne.
Ted started out in the entertainment business as a DJ way back in 1975 playing in the Top Hat Ballroom in Fermoy, County Cork. Here he was the resident DJ every Friday and Sunday playing before bands like Joe Dolan, Brendan Boyer, Dickie Rock, and many more. Over the years Ted established himself on the nightclub and dance hall circuit right across Ireland, and quickly became regarded as one of the best know DJs in the country.
Skip forward a few years and the Ted Dunne Entertainment brand evolved and grew into the most trusted and respected entertainment agency in Munster, supplying music and entertainment packages to tens of thousands of wedding couples, hotels and venues, parties and festivals.
Sadly, after a short illness, Ted passed away unexpectedly on Tues 9th Feb 2021. He will be greatly missed by his loving family, many friends, and everyone who knew him in the entertainment and hospitality industries.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support and kind words, the outpouring of thoughtful messages and tributes to Ted has been very comforting.
Lastly, we would also like to reassure our many clients, hotels, party organisers, wedding couples, DJs and bands, that we endeavour to carry on the Ted Dunne tradition of supplying the best entertainment and personal service to everyone.
We look forward to working with you all again soon when restrictions allow us to do so safely, until then stay safe.
