Ladies what a day
It’s the first time that I was a panellist for a discussion like that and although I was nervous I loved it 💃 yapping is my favourite so 🤷‍♀️

What struck me hard though, although we say it a lot, today I really saw it in action. It really doesn’t matter what type of business you have the struggles are the same.

The lows are low and effect us all -
From business to personal confidence and how you show up in the world for yourself and your business. It’s not easy and the hard days are hard.. but the good days, the passion, the drive, the love and the ability to get back up and bounce back and go again.

Do I have it all figured out ? Not a hope and most are the same and so we take inspo from those a little further down the road than we are.

Connection, collaboration and good aul chats go such a long way. I defiantly left today with a renewed energy to go again.

And then there was an amazing little girl called Hollie with the most magnificent hair and the most magnificent Mam Yvonne.

Yvonne is a life long friend 💕

Their family lost their beautiful Eve 4 years ago to cancer. Hollie decided to grow her hair as long as possible and then donate it to raise funds for Ireland's Children's Hospice

Check out how long she grew it and how long that must have taken !!

Any donation you can offer will go such a long way to provide support to children with life limiting conditions, and their families.

Hollie & Yvonne you’re both superhero’s and I couldn’t be prouder 💕

And then there was Lauren
A truly chilled bride that wanted her day to be FUN !

So let me tell you about the outfit 🙌
I’m full sure you’re all sick to death of hearing me say this but this is really how it’s done.
We sat and had a chat and I learned what Lauren wanted for her day. I ask a lot of questions and it might seem I’m being nosey 😂 but it’s to get a sense of who you are which gives us a place to start.
That chat is always just to take a breath and relax into the space.
Based on the convo I picked a separates combo and that was it. Lauren loved how it looked and more importantly loved how she felt in it and that was it.

We thought of sleeves and decided to pause on that until a later point - sometimes too many decisions at once is just too much. So I’ll guide on what we need to make a call on and what we can pause on - it’s not a sprint it’s an evolution.

Fast forward the first try on and in Lauren rocks with THE most incredible heels. Colour, fun, fringing!! I haven’t managed to get my hands on some yet but they’re on my list !!

When we tried the whole outfit on one thing just didn’t work.. the shoes were hidden. They were too damn cool to keep them hidden away - they were a moment in themselves and part of the overall look. A suggestion was made let’s take the pants shorter, super wide leg, grazing at the ankle so the full shoe was on show. Bingo 💅

We tried a couple of different looks but when I brought out the big polka dots we were done.

One of the hardest things can be knowing that something is lovely, but still knowing it isn’t you.

Mairead had already tried dresses designed for curvy brides. She had a nice experience, but none of them made her feel like herself. And she started to worry that she might have to settle for the best of the bunch.

But you shouldn’t have to choose a dress just because it is the best option available.

Sometimes, knowing what doesn’t feel like you is the clearest place to begin.

Mairead came back with everything she had learned about what she liked, what she didn’t, and what felt right. We took those details, sketched the design, and refined it together until it felt like hers.

The finished dress didn’t come from one perfect reference image.

It came from listening, understanding, and building from what mattered to her.

And in her words:
“I felt like my best self on my wedding day.”
