It is important to note at this point that ordering with myself when your order of dress or dresses arrive there will be some degree of alteration needed in order for the dresses to fit perfectly. On occasion the dress can fit like a glove, however more often than not alterations will be needed. I have tonnes of recommendations for the cut off fabric and can recommend some excellent, cost effective seamstress to do a perfect job!
I started this business in 2015 whilst preparing for my own wedding. I found the style of dresses in most shops to be quite similar to each other with nothing really jumping out and grabbing my attention. I wanted something to represent me and my personality.
When you make contact with me we work through some vital pieces of info.. Wedding date, venue, type of wedding, colour and style. Some brides will have an idea of what they want. So if you have been stalking Pinterest and have tonnes of pics saved - send them to me! Send me about 5/6 pictures and I can generally get a good vibe of what style your leaning towards. Even if you haven't yet decided. Pictures can tell alot !
ORDERING PROCESS
Once you agree upon a style, we require measurements of yourself and or of each lady and an estimate of heel height. I would always recommend going bigger and longer with any item made. Once its larger and longer this can be easily altered – it’s a little trickier if the item is too small or too short! I can provide guidance on this if necessary.
When we have all the details gathered, they are then transferred to an order form and emailed through to you for checking. Please ensure that you read through the details carefully to ensure that all sizing, details and colours are correct especially if it is a custom design. The details captured on the order form are then transferred to the seamstress so it’s really important that we get all the details correct – even if it means we go back and forth a few times. The detail is key. When we are sure we have all the details correct we take a 50% deposit and get the ball rolling!
Weddings are an expensive business so if you wish to organize a payment structure we can do that also – just email me at [email protected]
Once the order is confirmed and deposit paid it is then passed to our seamstress. Again, at this point we may go back and forth a couple of times to ensure the details are understood. That’s it! The order is lodged and will be queued for production. From this point on, unless the seamstress needs to clarify something with the order, I won’t be bugging you with emails or calls. However, if at any point you want an update, or even just a chat feel free to get in contact The time frame is approximately 4 months from order date. Once we know when the order will be received, we will be in contact to give you an approximate time frame and arrival date. Please note the dates are approximates only and can be a few days either side.
WHEN YOUR ORDER ARRIVES IN!
When the order arrives in, we are happy to send on some pictures and videos as we prepare it for collection or courier.
ALTERATIONS
When you received your order, you will need to have some alterations carried out to make each item fit perfectly to your body. We try and be as accurate as possible but invariably alterations of some degree are needed. From time to time there may be a stray thread - we try and catch them all but some just get away! These are nothing more than excess thread and can be cut off.
We are more than happy to recommend a number of seamstress that offer an excellent service at a reasonable cost. If it’s not possible to get to one of our recommended seamstresses I strongly advise that you shop around for this service. I have seen on occasion insanely high-priced alterations – so just like anything else shop around and get yourself the best deal.
