Let me introduce myself✨️

Hi to all my new followers, and welcome to my little corner:) Here are a few facts and bits about me:

Im Kelly, and I'm a textile artist (and singer!) from Waterford (oldest city in Ireland!) And I live in a very, very old rambling house with my husband and partner in crime, Damien, and my 2 sons Teddy and Sebastian🌟

I'm lucky to have a little studio at home, and this is where I spend most of my time, making braids and cords with all of my intention and passion ❤️ I sit in front of a window and watch ppl go by as I braid😅

My background is a masters in Fine Art from the gorgeous Goldsmiths College in London.

I have been to HUNDREDS of handfastings! How??👇

The other half of my livelihood is playing for wedding ceremonies! 🎶 Myself and Damien have played together for over a decade as the wedding duo

My two boys are 3 and 5 and crazy and happy and make everything a big whirlwind and I wouldn't change a thing!

I am a true scorpio on the cusp❤️

Finished this beautiful piece for a client this morning, and I am in love with the colour combination 💙

I don't usually use white for my cotton colour, but I have to admit, the pristine white next to metallic gold just brings out the navy ribbon perfectly!

This cord is the 'Tie-your-own' Infinity cord, but can also be available as a decorative Infinity cord!
Also featured is the gorgeous Tree of Life charm✨️

Oh my goodness, what a day we had yesterday!

I am firstly so full of love and gratitude to my amazing friends and co creators .stuart .stuartweddings for such a fun and successful shoot. It was a joy to do, the weather and location were breathtaking, and we just had a ball!

Also special shout out to for the loan of her gorgeous dress!

I cannot wait to share my beautiful new collection soon, the images and videos are just magical ✨️

Detailed close up of our Autumnal Handfasting Cord - 'Autumnal Fire'.

It's very hard to capture this properly in photographs, as it's so much more beautiful in person.

The different textures, and hints of copper and gold echo the changing seasons around us.

Photoshoot in under 2 weeks for these new pieces, and I cannot wait to showcase these on my website and etsy shop!

Every time I make a cord for a couple, there is always so much intent and care (and I guess passion!) that I put in to the cord to ensure they are in love with their piece❤

There's something about the emerald ribbon with the natural cotton and spun gold that just works.

I was lucky to have The Irish Soul Celebrant Sinead @theirishsoulcelebrant to demonstrate using the decorative Infinity knot cord as part of a handfasting ceremony!💜 This is my second cord design: the ornamental or decorative Infinity knot cord, which is where the Infinity knot has been created in the middle of your cord as a formed celtic knot. The couple then ties the braids together during their ceremony. It's finally here💜 I'm not going to lie, this day means a lot to me. I love every single one of these cords.
