We are delighted to be part of this event tomorrow in the Brockagh Resource Centre. It is so important to remember our local heritage. Recently seen the "min bogie" installation and it is a great feature in the beautiful Glendasan Mining Valley. Well done to all the organisers!!!!

A historic “mine bogie” artefact has been returned to the valley, where it operated during the 1940s and 50s, bringing the story of this historic industrial landscape back to life.

“Transport will be provided from the Brockagh Resource Centre, Laragh (parking charge may apply) at 2 p.m. for transfer to the mine site.

“Booking is required to ensure adequate transport can be arranged. Please reserve your spot by calling the Information Office of the Wicklow Mountains National Park on 0404-45425.”

An event to celebrate the workers and rich heritage of the Glendasan mines will take place on Sunday, June 23, at 3 p.m.
