Elisha understood and patiently waited when his bar mitzvah was moved from October to December, and then again from December to April.

To make the celebration complete - his family was able to join from London and Australia.

Elisha chose not only the dance floor balloons, boutique cotton candy, and incredible DJ, but also made sure to include prayers for the hostages and soldiers in his celebration.

Once upon a time, a beautiful, young couple from Mexico met at University in Canada, fell in love, and became best friends. They spent a year planning their dream wedding in their most favorite place in the world. Nothing could stand in their way, including a mother’s illness, travel restrictions, and the bureaucracy of registering their marriage.
The fairy tale wedding, witnessed by family and friends from Canada and Mexico took place on the beach at sunset, and right afterward they flew off to honeymoon for 4 months across the world.

No, this isn’t a movie script, it’s the true story of Denise and Roberto.
And they lived happily ever after.

Yona and Ezra had no way of knowing they picked one of the hottest days of the year in one of the hottest locations in the country, but they were in love and excited to get married, so nothing could get in the way of their vision, or deplete their energy!

Both chose to leave their families and all that’s familiar to them to learn medicine in Israel, as a first step in making their home here.

As an expert in boutique, destination weddings, even I was surprised that they had almost 300 guests fly from abroad to come celebrate with them.

The energy and excitement started from the early morning glam for the bridal party and though the party lasted all the way until 2am, the celebrations continued with an overnight and breakfast the next day.

Their future patients will be lucky to have these two doctors who are super detail-oriented and who have endless energy and huge hearts.

Elimelech’s Bar Mitzvah
February 1-8, 2024

We started planning in February 2023, then in October, things changed.

His parents and family are not frequent travelers to Israel, yet they felt a huge pull to continue planning the bar mitzvah in Israel despite the challenges, the unknown, and yes, the fear.

When they told me they will move forward with their plans even with as few as 10 people, I knew I was blessed to have met them.

They spent the entire cold, rainy, and difficult week full of meaningful activities, showing Elimelech by example about Chesed, charity, and bringing light.

The news and our emotions brought us to tears more than once during our planning zoom calls.

But during the bar mitzvah celebrations, there was love, happiness and pride in Elimelech and in this country.

Yonatan’s bar mitzvah was the first event I did since October 7.

At the time, my husband and son-in-law were in Gaza.

It wasn’t easy to plan, it wasn’t easy to be there and until now,
I wasn’t ready to post about it.

We transformed a school auditorium into a sophisticated, luxurious event venue, with three different layouts for each of the weekend events.

During a time that was scary, dark, and filled with uncertainty, we brought happiness, celebration, and light.

His mom Yael is a past client - 4 events down and 1 to go! - and for some time now I’m blessed to call her and her mom Leah my friends.

When I work with people who are kind, sensitive, loving, and fun, who put their trust and vision into my hands, that’s what we call a labor of love.

Something was missing for them, celebrating in New York while knowing that there was so much loss and sadness in Israel in the wake of the October 7 terrorist massacre.

In honor of Ruth’s Bat Mitzvah, we asked The Koby Mandell Foundation to invite bereaved families with girls celebrating their bat mitzvah this year to be guests at this special event.

The vendors at the event were families of IDF soldiers or reservists.

We have a lot to learn from these 12-year-old girls:

It’s been awhile and there are some new faces on here so I thought it’s a good time to re-introduce myself ✨

✨ 1- I’m a wife, mother of 6, MIL, a bonus mom, but being a Grandma is by far the best 🫶

✨ 2- I’ve been a luxury event planner and travel specialist in Israel for the past 15 years 🥂

✨ 3 - Healthy lifestyle and self care are priority for me - that means work/life balance, yoga , clean eating, outdoor walking, mindfulness, and good skin care🧘‍♀️

✨ 4- My dual personality is that I love award shows and celebrity gossip but also I’m a book and movie snob 🍿

✨ 5- I’m fluent in Hebrew and English, but still learning the 2 languages spoken in our house: Heblish and ArmySlang 🪖

✨ 6- I wish my younger self would know what I know now about being 50+: we have so much experience and wisdom that the best is yet to come 💪🏻

✨ 7- I like to call myself a perfectionist but my kids call it OCD 🪡

✨ 8- Even after living here for 20 years, my accent and impatience prove that you can take the girl out of NY but you can’t take the Noo Yawk outta the girl🗽

✨ 9- Yes I have a blinged out gun and yes I carry it in a designer pouch 👛

✨ 10- Despite the sadness, trauma, fear and challenges of my life as a mom and event planner during a war - moving to Israel was by far one of the best decisions of my life -period. 🇮🇱
