I had the privilege to officiate the marriage of the beautiful couple Noam and Noah with the backround of the stunning sunset at Caesarea Port. I first met Noam back in 2018 when she visited Israel with her family to celebrate her brother's Bar Mitzvah - Matan and Ori. A celebration which I had the honor to conduct in my hometown Tzfat. The family traveled all the way from Atlanta to share their joy in this difficult time in Israel and to show support for the country during its time war. It was Noah's mother first visit to Israel, and even though many friends and family couldn't make it due to the situation- they never thought to give up their dream of getting married in Israel. Noam and Noah decided to honor the captives by choosing yellow as the color theme and leaving empty chairs at the chuppah with a sign which said waiting for the hostages. I returned this morning from Poland performing for a special group that came from New York for a Holocaust tour with Project Mesorah. For me it was a very emotional experience, especially the transfomation from the war in Israel to the story of the Holocaust and the extermination of the Jewish people. to stand As a Jew and an Israeli and especially as an IDF soldier in uniform in Auschwitz where Jews were burnt and turned into to dust. It reminds us now more than ever that we must do everything and together in unity so that we do get again to the horror called the Holocaust. Many thanks to Ari Scharf and project Mesorah for inviting me again to perform and accompany the members of the delegation to Poland.
