Indeed we have been practising this work in all our companies and have been taught our employees about the pros and cons.

Dry waste comprises of things like paper, glass, cardboard, Styrofoam, rubber, plastic, metal, food packaging material, etc. Even milk cartons and packets go into a dry waste bin. But, one must rinse and dry these before you put them in the bin.

Wet waste is all the kitchen waste that we produce. This can include fruits,vegetable peels, used tea,leftovers, etc. These are basically biodegradable organic waste that can also be composted.

Indore is the only city which has been practising this from few years and has been awarded the cleanest city of India every year. Early awareness leads people to be in a better city.

Why should we do this?
We generate approximately 36.5 tonnes of municipal solid waste in India annually. This is later dumped into landfills which wreaks havoc on the environment, and can also reach your food. We must reduce waste and contribute to recycling and composting The best way to segregate waste is at home even before it reaches the appointed garbage collectors. Imagine the difficulties garbage workers face when we carelessly dump all our waste and they must sort it manually fishing through stinking waste. Be considerate of your fellow human beings and the planet.

On the occasion of ganesh chaturthi Company HR (Regional head) giving our Manager Mr Balaji Jadhav and his team a tulsi tree on behalf of the company to plant at their respected house or work desk. Reason behind these task is that after post covid-19 we rarely step out of our homes these days. This often makes us feel claustrophobic. And whenever we go out, we are surrounded with the high amount of rising pollution. Presence of a plant in the room or at the work desk can help considerably in making the air around you fresher. So when you give someone a plant, you are giving them the gift of good health because they will always breathe fresher air.
