Being born into an entrepreneurial family, she always had the dream of starting something of her own, and this desire led her to start Event Genie in 2014.

Afreen and her staff design specifically themed social events, opulent galas, and wedding festivities like mehendi, haldi, and sangeet; along with that, the startup also caters to private dinners and corporate parties.

India is a country with many different cultures and festivals. An event requires weeks of preparation and labor. The assistance of event planners is in demand, even though the sector is mainly unorganised.

Afreen’s goal with Event Genie was to solve these issues. With a number of events done so far, the firm has broadened its list of service providers to include venues, caterers, bakers, artists, and more. The platform currently provides a variety of packages for gatherings, as well as for baby showers, dinners, housewarmings, and more.

Although she has been able to effectively enter the market, every young entrepreneur will inevitably face obstacles and challenging circumstances along the way. But thanks to her husband’s support and her father’s motivation, she has been running her business successfully.
