Bon Bon Bar | Sharika & Advaith | October 2022

Inspired by Bon Bon Bar, an upscale resto lounge and one of the bride’s favourite spots from her days spent in London, the decor for .subramani & .asokan’s reception was set against the backdrop of the sea at Te Leela, Kovalam , embodied the essence of an upscale lounge setting. Lush floral arrangements in hues of deep red, wine & burgundy, alongside dramatic twinkling chandeliers suspended from the ceiling reflecting against gleaming mirror tables & plush velvet sofas to create cosy lounge style seating & lush florals came together to create an vibrant and opulent setting that was utterly decadent in its look and feel.

Erica palms, jute rugs, rattan furniture offset against macrame curtains, wild pampas & an assortment of dry flowers like pincushions, tiger lilies, salix willow, wheatgrass, banksia & craspedia, along with a multitude of potted palms & greens came together to create a whimsically rustic setting to kickstart the couples wedding festivities.

Inspired by the idea of creating a 50’s style retro circus for Yash & Kanika, the decor for this pre-wedding brunch is a play on vintage elements, reminiscent of a fun & playful era gone-by. Striped fabrics juxtaposed against larger than life installations & hand painted elements added a whimsical touch to the entire setting. Canopies with striped fabric, ticket booths with an old-time vintage feel & carousel style structures with a mix of diamonds & stripes created an eclectic setting, while an array of artistes ranging from jugglers to clowns to stilt walkers lent an air of fun & festivity to the celebrations.

Elements of macramé, bulb strings, metallic palm leaves & rattan furniture were used to bring to life a tropical paradise for the bride & groom. Cosy corners styled with dry flowers like amaranthus, banksia & pampas grass were used to represent all things Bali.

Inspired by the golden shower tree - Amaltas, evocative of lazy Indian summers & symbolic of prosperity and good luck, aadhi & Nikki’s haldi invokes elements of nostalgia with an abundance of florals in hues of yellow and orange. Under a canopy of lush greenery, they celebrated the start of their wedding festivities with the Mangal Snanam ritual, in the presence of their closest family and friends.

The two trees coming together with different coloured floral gardens beneath them coming together as well, is symbolic of the union of two different people who found shade under the same tree of love & prosperity.. this haldi was a beautiful riot of colour , happiness & laughter ✨❤️
