Highlight

PARUL MISHRA was brought up in Kolkata amidst culturally and artistically rich surroundings. She was inclined to Classical Dances right from her childhood. She had her initiation in KATHAK under Late Pt. Ramgopal Mishra of Jaipur Gharana. She achieved many milestones in her career including Master’s Degree in KATHAK from KATHAK KENDRA, Delhi under Late Pt.Durgalal. In the year 1990 she got married to Pt.Rammoham Mishra, the younger son of Late Kathak Maestro & Padmashree Pt.Shambhu Maharaj.
At present, she is associated with National Bal Bhawan, C.C.R.T, I.R.C.E.N, I.C.C.R, N.T.R.C and Akshara Theatre as well as running her own Private Dance Classes at Home.
Studies & Training
Parul had her academic studies in Kolkata. She had her initiation in Kathak under Late Pt. Ramgopal Mishra at Kolkata. She obtained Sangeet Visharad in Kathak from Chandigarh in the year 1985 & Nritya Praveen in Kathak from Allahabad in the year 1986 both with Distinction.
She obtained her Master’s Degree in Kathak from Kathak Kendra, Delhi under training of the Late Kathak Maestro & Padma Vibhushan Pt Durga Lal Ji.

Kanaka Sudhakar, a renowned artiste of Bharatanatyam & Kuchipudi, is a Dansuese, Teacher, Mentor, Choreographer, Researcher, Story-teller and Writer.

A disciple of legendary Dhananjayans- Madras and Late Guru Sadasivan in Bharatanatyam, of Guru Seetha Nagajothi in Kuchipudi & Guru Kalanidhi Narayanan in Abhinaya, Kanaka Sudhakar has carved a niche for herself in the Dance World.

​A passionate social worker, Kanaka Sudhakar founded SUNAINA, with other like minded people, in 1994, which has now three wings- NRITYABHARATI (DANCER TRAINING WING), Kala Khoj (research section and BMSCAC (educational wing). Kanaka's vision of 'ART FOR ALL' & 'WOMEN EMPOWERMENT THROUGH ARTS' has led to relentless service for more than twenty years through S.U.N.A.INA
