👉 International Federation of Zebu Cattle in India team creative visit of Gir breed in Curvelo (MG)

An entourage of 15 pecuarists and representatives of the International Federation of Zebu Cattle in India, including its president, Madan Mohan, paid a visit to Jasdan Agropecuária, in Curvelo (MG), in order to close relations with Brazilian agro and intensify the exchange of genetic material between countries, contributing for the development of zebu livestock in both nations.

Inauguration of the Brazilian Cattle Crush Machine - H.E. Gabriel Garcia Cid, H.E. Elson de Barros Gomes Jr., H.E. Leonardo Ananda Gomes, Mr. Laudemir Andre Muller inaugurated the Brazilian cattle crush machine that signified a significant milestone. An inspiring moment captured! Our President, Mr. Madan Mohan had a fruitful meeting yesterday with Shri Parshottam Rupala ji, Minister of Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, and Dairying.

Mr. Mohan provided the Hon'ble minister with a comprehensive overview of IFIZCI's ongoing initiatives aimed at safeguarding Indian Zebu cattle.

Central to the discussion was IFIZCI's collaborative partnership with Associação Brasileira dos Criadores de Zebu (ABCZ), a distinguished Brazilian organization dedicated to the welfare of Zebu breeders. Mr. Mohan also discussed about IFIZCI's upcoming participation at ExpoZebu in Uberaba, Brazil to showcase the Federation's steadfast commitment to the preservation and advancement of Zebu cattle breeds.

In a demonstration of recognition and appreciation for IFIZCI's relentless conservation efforts, the Hon'ble minister commended Mr. Mohan's leadership and the Federation's collective efforts. As a gesture of goodwill, Shri Rupala ji presented Mr. Mohan with a symbolic souvenir—a representation of the shared vision for the global elevation of Zebu cattle breeds.

The meeting concluded on a positive note with the Hon'ble minister's strong support for IFIZCI's work. Such engagements serve as a cornerstone in ensuring the long-term viability and prosperity of these cherished breeds on a global scale.

The Farm visit of the Brazilian Delegates would have been incomplete without the witness of the Vedic Bilona method meticulously in action. The goodness of ghee was hand-churned from organic fodder-fed milk of Gir cows showcasing all the Sanskars involved in making this purest golden nectar with love & care. The highlight was their eagerness in volunteering to personally experience the hand-churning (Bilona) process. H.E. Gabriel Garcia Cid, President, ABCZ and Camila Almeida Estacia from Brazil fully engaged in learning from our empowered Gir Amritphal rural women skilled in the Bilona process.

11 year old unique Gir cow Samantha found in Brazil, this Gir cow, born through cloning technique, has the milk yielding capacity of around 25 liters per day. Currently, this cow is gracing the Jasdan Farm of Curvelo, Brazil. This farm is promoting and conserving cows in Brazil using Indian methods. The surprising thing is that even the cows are being treated with homeopathic medicines.
