The subtle layer of sweetened egg and ghee which softens the beef pockets is what defines a Malabarian's notion of Irachipathiri. It's not a decontructed samosa, if you've thought so.

Unnakai, vayakkada or kaayiada.. what's this heavenly delicacy called at your place?

Plaintains are hand picked for the perfect ripeness so that we don't end up adding sugar or flour to the dough, and that makes our egg filled unnakkais melt in your mouth.

At home, Ramadan always start with samoosa unnakkai duo and occurs very often until is Eid!

On demand, we also do the coconut filling which is more common and relatable to many. So vegetarians can indulge too...
