Gajan or Shiva gajon is a Hindu festival celebrated mostly in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is associated with such deities as Shiva, Neel and Dharmaraj. Gajan spans around a week, starting at the last week of Choitro continuing till the end of the Bengali year.

On the 10th day of Falgun month (falls usually in the month of March). The deities are worshipped and then taken in a spectacular procession in the family-owned Rolls Royce. Along with the vintage car, there are also wooden chariots forming the part of the procession.
After using the car for six years, Kipling is believed to have sold it to Kumar Ganga Dhar Bagla in 1927. Since then, the car, a rare variant of the Rolls Royce with the chassis number , became a moving temple for Radha and Krishna deities at the Bagla family’s Satyanarayan temple, the main organiser of this Holi procession.
The vintage car owned by the Bagla family performs the role of a chariot of Lord Krishna and his beloved Radha. Wooden chariots form part of the procession along with the Rolls Royce.
On the 10th day of Fagun, the procession starts from Satyanarayan Jee Temple in Kalakar Street, crosses the Howrah Bridge and moves through the Burrabazar area to reach Shri Ishwar Satyanarayanjee Temple at Mukharam Kanoria Road, where the deities are kept for a few days.

They are brought back to the Satyanarayan Jee Temple in Kalakar Street on the day before Holika dahan.

A Shaiva temple and monastary beloging to 972 AD is situated in Chandreh village of Rampur Naikin, Sidhi. This temple was established by the Guru of Chedi rulers Prabodha Shiva who belonged to Matta Mayura Saiva sect for their spiritual practice and propagation of Saiva siddhanta.

This ancient Shaivite temples and monasteries were built in 972 C.E. are located in Chandreh village of Sidhi district. This temple was established by Prabodh Shiva, the guru of the Chedi rulers, who belonged to the famous Shaivite sect called Matta-Mayur, for spiritual practice and propagation of Shaivism. The structure attached to the temple is a sandstone monastery with two ancient Sanskrit inscriptions relating to its construction. Many temples were established by this sect, in which Kadvaha temple, Ashoknagar and Suravaya temple, Shivpuri are prominent. The architecture of the temple is very unique, it is based on a high raised platform and built on a Chaitya like ground plan. the sikhara of the temple is cylindrical and is well decorated with Chaitya Gavaksha. On the Antarala sikhara a huge chaitya gavaksha is seen followed by many smaller gavaksha’s. There are two sculptural bands located on the same containing elephant and deities depiction. The Garbhagriha of the temple and the outer wall of the Garbhagriha is semicircular. The mandapa of the temple is based on 6 pillars. An Vyala is placed infront of the temple. The temple is made of sandstone. Near to the temple a two storied matha is located. This matha includes many pillars and built on sandstone. Various cells are built inside the Matha.

A small to medium-sized tree with a pale-coloured trunk, it is commonly known as the bhutyā (भुत्या) in Marathi (meaning "ghost tree"), kulu, Indian tragacanth, gum karaya, katira, sterculia gum or kateera gum. The specific name urens refers to the stinging hairs present on the flowers.
