Euphony's forthcoming show is not just another musical event. This will be an interactive, educative and enlightening show too.

With the legends that we have that evening, Nitin Shankar and Pt Ronu Majumdar we are going to listen to some rarely discussed aspects of Panchamda 's music. There will be music and discussion and through it we will try to reach up to HIM and take a look at the thoughts behind those immortal compositions. Our very own Rahul da will be an added draw and all of you know what this great musician is capable of!

And all this is possible only with the support from our Great Team of performing Musicians from Calcutta.
To add the cherry on the top, we are also going to have our dear friend Arvind to host the evening.

Euphony's forthcoming show titled CLASSICAL PANCHAM features a troika of three Legendary Musicians of the present time.

Pt Ronu Mazumdar regarded as one of the leading exponents of Indian classical music. The man who sings with his flute and was one of the Original Musicians in the court of Panchamda. He had played with HIM for years in many immortal compositions which we hear.

Nitin Shankar, the Maverick multi percussionist of loRD’s Dream Team saw Pancham da from closest quarters,having worked with HIM till the very end. One of the Top Musicians in the present era,Nitin Ji has been showcasing the rhythms of Panchamda ever since.

Rahul Chatterjee is Bengal's pride. One of the finest sitarists of our time, he has been recreating Pancham da's songs to the greatest delight of the listeners & has a formidable fan base.
In our next show 'CLASSICAL PANCHAM, they are all coming together to present you an evening of music where we are going to cover the entire spectrum of Raaga To Taal of loRD’s Compositions.

So all of us are geared up for the show for which, well, this time we have been waiting for 3 long years. The musicians are coming in. The stage of rehearsals is all set. The city will be buzzing with the tunes of Panchamda. All roads will be leading to the pantheon of music, Kalamandir. After all this is our LoRD's 83rd birthday celebration.

With the hope of a new world free from the fears of the pandemic around, Euphony welcomes you to our grand RD Burman Birthday Celebration, an occasion for which all of us start counting days ever since new calender year rolls out. We missed last 2 years due to this pandemic. So after 3 long years, we are again geared up to bring to you an evening of music and memories.

Our this year birthday celebration will feature Kishore Sodha, the man who sings with his trumpet, Suraj Sathe, the accordion maestro, Sachin Jambhekar, the magician with his Harmonium and our very own Rahul Chatterjee, the sitarist extraordinaire. Also there will be Ujjaini,a singer par excellence who will be adding a dash of zing in this show, a surprise element with which our viewers are not quite familiar.

Akashwani Pancham is resuming operation this weekend 2nd October,with RDX DHAMAKA show by our favourite RJ JB. This will signal the long lists of shows lined up for the festival days ahead. We believe our shows will provide you some hours of musical bliss in these long awaited festive season.

After much deliberations, and as per the wish of the regular listeners, this is to inform you that from now on, Akashvani Pancham is available exclusively for Euphony members ONLY. Listening to Radio will not be charged extra, but will be an added benefit for the Member. A membership with Euphony will offer the normal benefits of discounted price of show tickets and merchandise, and a free access to Akashvani Pancham as well. In the vast ocean of Pancham Da's music there are so many gems that lie scattered untraced and not so well discovered. And there are so many known songs whose tiny bits are kept out of the ears of music lovers because, curiously, they never got released in audio versions(except a handful that came many years later). Only in films one can hear those extended parts or unreleased audio parts. And not that everyone of us see those films even today.

Our next show UNHEARD PANCHAM picks up those rare gems, unheard or rarely heard, of R.D. Burman which never was found in any audio release (at the time of the music release of those films).

Pancham and Gulzar- when these two names are taken together, heart lights up with the most sensitive feelings. Of all bonds, this is the most august friendship that both Panchamda and Gulzar Saab treasured. we are lucky that they two shared their journey with us and we got some of the best melodies of all times.
