Gigue powered Transcendence, a tribute to the greatest jazz drummer, Buddy rich and G.harishankar, the pioneer of khanjira. The tribute was first of its kind in India, held on the 7th of June, 2018. This event celebrates two of the greatest percussionists on one stage, by the living legends Ranjit Barot and Vidwan Bangalore Amrit.

This piece is composed by Bangalore Sri AMRIT. The Melody is in Carnatic classical Raga Mayamalavagoula set to Chaturashra EKA Tala (4 beat cycle).

This peice highlights speed & dexterity of Khanjira playing at high speeds with power & clarity. The tempo way above the 'comfort zone' speed.
