7. On 7th day this year Saptami & Ashthamni Is on same day..
Where we worship Maa Kaalaratri & Devi Mahagauri.
Maa Kaalaratri is the fiercest and most violent avatar of Maa Durga and she is the destroyer of all evil and negative energies.
Where as Devi Mahagauri is a symbol of purity and serenity.
As she is the extreme manifestation of Goddess Durga.
Maa Kaalratri rides a donkey and wears a garland of skulls around her neck.
Kaalratri in Sanskrit means the one who brings death and darkness.
& Devi Mahagauri carries the Trishul and Damru in two hands while the other two hands are kept in Varada Mudra and Abhaya Mudra hand gestures.
The word Mahagauri is a merger of two words which are Maha and Gauri, which mean extreme white complexion.
The special colour today is royal blue which symbolizes purity, peace, and serenity.

Navratri day 6 KATYAYANI DEVI.

Goddess Katyayani is worshipped as the sixth form of Navdurga on the Shashthi Tithi day of Navratri.
According to Hindu mythology, Goddess Parvati took the form of Goddess Katyayani to destroy the demon Mahishasura.
She is believed to be the most violent form of Goddess Parvati and hence also known as the ‘warrior goddess.’
Katyayani governs the planet Jupiter, most commonly known as Brihaspati or Guru.
The pictorial depiction shows her with four hands and riding on a magnificent lion.
She carries a lotus flower and sword in her left hand and keeps her right hands in Abhaya and Varada Mudras.
This form of Maa Parvati is called Katyayani as she was born at the home of sage Katya.
Red is the colour for today which signifies beauty & fearless.
