I had a wonderful time at CNN's Breakfast Club, hosted by Toya and Sonal Mehrotra Kapoor! 🌟 It was an amazing opportunity to share my insights on studying abroad and to reconnect with Divya Balaji Kamerkar, a former Edbrand student. During our discussion, we covered some important topics:
💸 Financial concerns: It's important to encourage students to dream big but also remain pragmatic while doing research and exploring all available resources, including scholarships and grants while being realistic about their options.
🌍 Choosing the right country: I emphasized the importance of aligning academic and career goals with the strengths of educational systems in each country, as well as considering practical factors like post-study work opportunities and cultural fit.
🌟 Showcasing different facets: For students who aren't toppers, it's crucial to highlight their unique experiences, skills, and passions. Divya you shared great insights!
🎓 Navigating tricky scholarship situations: When students face the dilemma of choosing between a scholarship at a less preferred college and an admission offer without financial aid at their dream college, I advise them to weigh the long-term benefits of both options, considering factors like future career prospects, financial sustainability, and personal goals.
🤝 Access to guidance: For students who can't afford professional counseling, I recommend seeking advice from trusted mentors, utilizing free online resources, and engaging with university admissions offices directly to gather reliable information.
Thanks again to Toya and Sonal for the insightful conversation and to the entire team at CNN News 18 for putting together a great show! Grateful for the experience. hashtag hashtag hashtag
