Rooted in circular economy in principles, Ezaar combines conscious design with community-led production to drive both environmental and social impacts.

Aditi Gohain Phukan,Founder, Aiseng Winery LLP

Turning grief into opportunity.

In 2020, on the 4th Death anniversary of her mother she invited all near and dear one, but due to the pandemic,a very few people could attend the function.
So, end of the day, she had about 5-6 kilograms of mixed leftover fruits, ncluding bananas, apples, guava, grapes,and pomegranate.She did not want to make the usual jam or jelly, and Aditi decided to try something new. So,very next day, she mixed all the fruits together and started
making wine. After two months, they all were amazed to taste it and that's how she started her journey of wine making. From that time onwards, Aditi occasionally make wine for her relatives and friends. But entrepreneurship was always in her cards and she always wanted to be an
entrepreneur. She dreamt of being the first in it.

Phukan, a woman who dared to dream beyond the conventional, is redefining what’s possible in
the region’s beverage industry. She is the First Assamese woman to venture into fruit as well as
herbal winemaking, turning a homebrew experiment into a growing business. And she is the First Assamese Wine Manufacturing license holder.
She attended professional training organized by Meghalaya Farmer’s Commission where Training partner was Hill Zill Wine, Bordi, Maharashtra.

At the heart of Aiseng Wine is an ethos of sustainability and community upliftment. She procure the fruits and herbs from the villagers of nearby village ."

Maker's Miracle Entrepreneur of The Month June, 2025

Jahnavi Baruah, Founder of the brand Piyonee

Jahnabi started her venture Peeyonee towards the end of 2021. From a stable corporate job to starting her own business has been a roller coaster ride. Moreover being a first generation entrepreneur, it is even more challenging. There were times and moments in her life when she faced a lot of uncertainties and almost clopassed. But the never give up attitude that she always carry with her helped in her entrepreneurial journey.

Being a foodie and whose stress buster is the kitchen definitely had the plan of starting something of her own. Jahnabi's corporate life taught her a valuable lesson and that is the need to go back to the roots even with food. She herself faced a lot of health issues, including PCOS and hormonal imbalances. And it was not just she but even her other females colleagues and people around her struggle everyday with detorating health. Not just females, even males also face a lot of physical as well as mental health issues. This made her ponder more into the realm of food and food habits. Food isn't just food. It is science.
Our North East is a blessed region. Our forefathers were brilliant people. But with time we have lost our food habits and traditions. We have a plenty of healthy food options which if given a makeover can make our lives better.
This pondering led Jahnabi to the humble indigenous plant Roselle (tengamora or meska tenga). From ages we have been using it as vegetable. But to make it acceptable to the modern foodies we need to give it a makeover. And this made her realise that she can come up with the Roselle flower drink, infusing it with herbs and spices and which will be caffeine free. Also any age group people can consume it without any guilt or fear. And thus Peeyonee came into the scene. It is not just a drink but a healthy way of living. An affordable way to include it in our busy modern lives and make every day a blessed one. It is preservative free. No artificial colour or flavours has been added. It can be a consumed both as a hot beverage or a healthy summer cool drink option.

Every sip of Peeyonee celebrate sustainability, community upliftment, women empowerment and natural healing process.
