A short one minute clip from Ziro, home of Apatani Tribe, paddy fields, Face Tattoos and Nose piercings.
We spent a short time in ziro this Monsoon, attending the Annual Dree festival of Apatani Tribe. The festival was amazing, the village beautiful, food delicious, and people very friendly. Here is a sneak peak of what our one day in Ziro looked like, from Paddy fields, playing with kids, walking through the village and paddy fields, attending free festival and views of amazing valley of Ziro.

Kids at KITPI village in Tawang, just couldn't get enough of the bunny filter. We were supposed to cover the village and other general stuff in the village but we ended up spending three hours with the kids. I am sure they had quite an afternoon laughing, I did have an awesome day with their laughter. .

Motion timelapse shot at Buddha Temple, Dehradun. I waited for few weeks to get good cloud cover over this temple to get this shot. It's baffling that dehradun is one of the TOP 10 polluted cities in India and ranks at 31 in the world. Though it is far better than Delhi, but still the grim sky is a usual thing here which is not at all perfect condition for shooting timelapse or hyperlapses. .

The Folk Musicians of Himalayas
The Folk Musicians - Jaunsar-Bawar, Uttarakhand.

Instruments
Ransheengha- is a metal instrument shaped in bent cone structure and is blown by mouth air. It sounds like a horn but has different notes and rhythms. It has two parts which can be assembled quickly for playing it and makes it easier to carry. this is played along with Dolki, Damana and Khanjari which are used to play beats and bass rhythms for the ensemble.
The folk musicians here play here these instruments in the traditional festivals and most commonly the Barada Nati folk dance which is a popular dance of this region. The folk dance is performed on the eve of some religious festivals or on the occasion of some social functions. Both boys and girls take part in the dance dressed in colourful traditional costumes.
According to local village lore, the Pandavas and Kauravas figure in the anthropology of the Tons valley and some families claim to be direct descendents of the two clans. The Jaunsaris claim to be descendants of the Pandavas, while the Bawaris are from the Kauravas or Duryodhana’s clan. The two cultures usually do not mix, and it is a rare occurrence to see the two cultures mix in terms of marriage or social custom.

'Hemkund Sahib (Altitude-4632 meters), known as Gurudwara Sri Hemkund Sahib Ji, is a Sikh place of worship and pilgrimage site located next to Lokpal Lake in Chamoli district, #Uttarakhand, India. It is devoted to Guru Gobind Singh Ji (1666–1708), the tenth Sikh Guru, and finds mention in Dasam Granth, a work dictated by Guruji himself.
This is one of its kind places of worship for both Sikhs and Hindus, where Gurudwara and Lakshman Temple stand next to each other and devotees of both religion make this arduous trek to the shores of Lokpal Lake.
The Lokpal lake was known to the people who lived in the nearby Bhyundar valleys as a place of pilgrimage. Its name was Lokpal, and its sanctity derived from its association with tales of the gods. Most notably, the god Lakshman, the younger brother of Ram, is said to have meditated or done penance at Lokpal.
Another story is told about Lakshman's previous incarnation as a seven headed snake. In this form, so the local people say, he meditated under the water at Lokpal and lord Vishnu slept on his back. The name Lokpal refers to Vishnu, the sustainer, who looks after the earth. Lokpal is also rumoured to be the native place of yet another god: Shiva, the destroyer, and his wife Parvati.
The best way to witness the energy and the beauty of the place is to stay back at lake till atleast 04:00 PM, given that you can cover the downhill trek in an hour or before it gets dark. The devotees usually leave the place after the day prayers, which is around 12:00 to 01:00PM, and this place then becomes another world you can't imagine, with hardly any noise and only the clouds playing over the lake and peaks, mountain birds chirping, and sounds of lake hitting the shore.

The Himalayan Kids
This short Video is a sneak peak into kids i filmed in Himalayas and the innocence that that they still maintain.
All the kids thought that i am taking a photograph, instead i filmed them. This videos doesn't intend to have a meaning to it or maybe it does. In any-case, this video is intended to share the beauty of kids whom i came across in travels through the Uttarakhand, Himalayas- The Land of Gods.
I especially got really drawn to the kid in first Shot, whom i met in Niti Village. She sat with her aunt in the kitchen, i am sure she was weary of the strangers in her home and probably a bit scared of us as well. She very shyly looked at us and the camera. Though, after camera was kept aside, she opened up to us and shook hands and laughed. While leaving she said bye to us in the most beautiful voice and happily accepted the candies we gave and "shared" them with her friend later.

Bheem Pul - Saraswati River
Bheem Pul at Saraswati River in Mana, the last village of India. The local people believe that this bridge was formed by Bheem to help Draupadi cross Saraswati River on their way to Swaragrohini Peak.
The feeling of numbness that comes to mind near "Bheem Pul" can be felt as loud as the sound of Saraswati falling through these huge rocks of mountains.
