Late Post - Dusserah Celebration, the victory of good over evil.

Kolkata on the 5th of October 2022, witnessed the grandest celebration of Ravan Dahan at Central Park Mela Prangan, organized by Salt Lake Sanskritik Sansad & Sanmarg. It marked the 10th year of such celebration in all pomp and glory.

The Ravan Dawan was set fire by Chief Guest BCCI President and pride of Bengal Shri Sourav Ganguly flanked by Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim, Minister in Charge of Fire & Emergency Services Shri Sujit Bose, Bidhannagar Chairman Sabyasachi Dutta, Commissioner of Police Shri Gaurav Sharma accompanied by Director of Sanmarg & MLA Vivek Gupta, President of Salt Lake Sanskritik Sansad Shri Pradip Todi and Margdarshak of Salt Lake Sanskritik Sansad Shri Lalit Beriwal.

The celebration started with mythological dance performances by Mumbai’s famous dance troupe Crazy hoppers and Kolkata’s Dance troupe X-factor. It followed with the famous Ravan Dahan, a 50feet effigy of Ravan with 35 feet effigies of Kumbakaran and Meghnad. It is the highest Ravan Dahan in Kolkata, followed by a lightning firecracker show, which captivated 25,000 audiences who came to witness the celebration of good over evil.
