Announcing that we are now accepting poetry for Wingword Poetry Competition 2023 🦋

The competition is for emerging poets who show promising talent in poetry ✍️

1st Prize: ₹ 1,00,000
2nd Prize: ₹ 50,000
3rd Prize: ₹ 25,000

Yes, anyone can apply!

You simply have to submit your typed poetry through our website. No performance necessary.

Check out some of the rules below:
1. The competition is open to anyone who is 15 years old and above.
2. You must be an Indian national to enter the competition.
3. Poems submitted in the competition must be originally written by you.
4. Poem should be no longer than 60 lines.
5. We welcome all themes, for example personal topics such as love, family, childhood, identity as well as social issues such as women’s rights, corruption, violence and climate change.
6. Your writing can be in any of the following languages: English, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Bengali, Assamese, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu, Malyalam, Tamil, Odia or Gujarati.
7. Previously published poems are allowed.
8. We encourage beginners to submit their poems.
