Wow, it's been a decade! It has been a rewarding and fulfilling journey- of creating new recipes, bringing new culinary experiences to people, and exploring new avenues. Feeding people and seeing those blissful, "the food was amazing" faces is one of the most satisfactory feeling in the world- it is pure nurturing. New year has begun with traveling and one hopes the year is filled with such fun travel.
Yesterday night, in Hyderabad, enjoying wine in the bar at the hotel. They served fried appalams with wine- When in Rome...

Today morning, I decided to do some shopping in Hyderabad, where streets are thick with shops selling clothes, shoes and jewellery. Even discovered a small market that repairs your mobiles and if you are walking in that market- they call out to you to see if you need their services. Only thing I had to take a very long walk for was a chemist store- I think people are healthier here😉

Our 12th Anniversary Cake- believe it or not, its dark chocolate truffle cake, layered with dodha (Indian sweet, popular in north), topped with chocolate spoons with lil pieces of barfi and kaju katli, choco chips and more dodha. Because I love mixing it up💕😊

Saal Mubarak- it is new year for us, Gujaratis. Though it is not Sunday today, but our family lunch was special today - first Undhiyu of the season, shrikhand, basundi (gujarati rabdi), puri, phulkas, kadhi and rice.
It was deliciousness served.

Happy Mother's Day! A client in Switzerland ordered a mother's day meal for her mom in Mumbai. We chatted about food, food stories, travel, wine and more. She has become a friend- that is one of the things I love about this work- knowing new people, talking food and making friends!

Sticky Rice with Mango, Pistachio Cake with Lemon Glaze, Homemade Nankhatai made with pure ghee ( no margarine). Other things on menu were Thai curry and Vietnamese Spring Summer Rolls. I didn't get chance to click the pics.
