It is the section which manages all types of sound-related activities in the IITR campus, from the soft and soothing tunes of the
Classical night to the hard-hitting head banging songs of the Rock Show, Audio takes care of it all. Audio Section, with an efficient team from all the years, provides the acoustics for events all over the year like Pehla Nasha, Swaranjali, Rock Show, etc. Loaded with state-of-the-art Aural and Mega Speakers, the main attraction of the Audio Section are its most awaited DJ nights, which are recognized as the best DJ nights of the campus, even better than the ones organized during Thomso. But along with the core work of the section, Audio section has been regularly evolving and the latest feather in its already illustrious cap is its very own Online radio - CampusBeats @ 192.168.124.246 (www.mixlr.com/campusbeats) which is a first of its kind in all IITs, a step forward in the endeavor of bringing the campus, its very own ON-AIR radio. CampusBeats provides the students with an Online Radio where they can listen to scheduled programs and all sort of music. It provides infotainment to the campus for which it has featured programmes like TOP20 songs of the week, Club Beats, Campus Tadka, Just 4 U, Celeb Chat, Rock Opera and a lot more. Audio Section, under the able leadership of Prof. Jha has developed into a full fledged family where the students have a healthy interaction with their peers and get to learn many different things about mixing various kinds of sounds, connecting and assembling 20,000 watts of power (read speakers) and understanding the basics of teamwork and how to organize an event which helps them later on in their practical lives. Lastly, Audio Section is dedicated to bring to the students of this campus the magic of sound and the fun of mixing it and will always strive to give them the best output possible, for the years to come .
