Since time immemorial, IIT (BHU) has been home to rock in India. With epic bands like ‘Albatross’ and ‘Colossal Figures’ passing from these hallowed portals, headbanging is part of our curriculum. Since the first riff was heard, music lovers have descended once a year to this mecca of music at a celebration of the free human spirit we like to call Crosswindz, the rock band event of Kashiyatra the
annual cultural festival of IIT-BHU. Multitudes of phenomenal bands have set the stage ablaze at Crosswindz. Parikrama, Skinny Alley, Medesis have all been here, performing, winning, rocking. There are two rounds- preliminary and finals.
2. Each band will be given 20 mins(including sound check).
3. The song list should contain at least one original composition.
4. Prizes of Rs 50000 including cash prizes to the winners.
5. The best bassist, guitarist, vocalist, drummer, synthie, will be given additional cash prizes. For details you can contact
