Hausar byrjuðu sem hittingur nokkra vina í heimahúsi og varð svo að reglulegum klúbbakvöldum á hinum goðsagnarkennda skemmtistað Faktorý. Nafnið er vísun í skarann sem mætir á klúbbakvöldin til þess að hlusta á tónlistina frekar en að fara á almennt "djamm". Fyrirmynd Hausa á Faktorý eru kvöld helstu útgáfufyrirtækin í London sem flestir drum n bass unnendur ættu að þekkja. RAM Records, Sh**un Aud

io, Metalheadz, Hospital o.fl. þar sem listamenn með samning við útgáfufyrirtækin eru aðal númer kvöldsins ásamt gestasnúðum. Fólkið sem mætir á þessi kvöld þekkir tónlistina og því skapast "underground" stemmning sem finnst ekki annarsstaðar.

⚠️ ANNOUNCEMENT ⚠️

For over 6 years, ravers and party-goers have joined us on the first Thursday of every month to enjoy the best in drum & bass. This tradition began with the original Icelandic junglists from Elf-19 and Skýjum Ofar between ’96-’00, with weekly nights, and was carried on by our predecessors, breakbeat.is, which changed to monthly Thursday nights until 2013. Hausar rebooted the Thursday events in 2018, and now we feel it’s time for a change of pace.

Starting September 5th, we will pass the baton to Radar Club, which has hosted some of the best electronic acts in Reykjavik and guests from abroad. Radar Club will take over the Thursday events, safeguarding drum & bass in Reykjavík while also expanding the DJ selection to bring in new up-and-coming talent alongside veterans and, of course, ourselves. This change will allow us to focus more on weekend events and continue bringing the best selectors from around the world!

We’ll see you soon, bringing the heat to the dance floor!
