The first exclusive appointment of the month of October signed Atelier Esse for Banca Private Cesare Ponti came to life in the extraordinary setting of Villa Panza in Varese, now protected by the FAI – Italian Environment Fund.
This refined 18th-century Villa, set in an English-style park of over 33,000 square metres, is one of the most charming historic homes in Lombardy. Inside, large and bright spaces, frescoed and tastefully decorated, dialogue harmoniously with one of the most significant contemporary art collections in Europe, according to the vision of the collector Giuseppe Panza di Biumo who made the Villa his home and the fulcrum of his aesthetic research.
The event opened with an exclusive conference, followed by a guided tour that took guests through the historic environments of the Villa and the site-specific installations of great international artists such as Dan Flavin, James Turrell, Robert Irwin, in a fascinating dialogue between light, space and perception.
The experience offered participants an emotional journey through art, architecture, nature and contemporary spirituality, thanks also to the professionalism of the guides who were able to bring the story of this unique place to life.
To close the day, a reinforced aperitif at the Luce Restaurant, carefully set up in its luxurious spaces.
