A rescue exercise of epic proportions ⛰

One of South Tyrol’s largest rescue exercises took place on the Seiser Alm, with over 2,000 volunteers participating in the evacuation simulation. The operation tested gondola rescues under real-life conditions. To escape the november winds, participants and visitors found shelter and catering in the 8x4 m folding gazebos of the White Corss. With 32 m² of covered space, this is the largest model in the Mastertent® range – perfect for events, rescue drills, but also in real emergencies.

Officially, our CMO, Sonja Zingerle, has now handed over the €13,000 raised during our ‘Kultur in der Fabrik’ benefit concert to the Wünschewagen Südtirol. These funds will help fulfil the heartfelt wishes of elderly and seriously ill individuals by covering costs such as transport, insurance, and equipment for volunteers.

A big thank you once again to everyone who contributed to the success of this event! 💚

In August this year, we donated a Mastertent® folding gazebo to the White Cross to support war refugees at an emergency shelter in Kyiv. It was used to establish a mobile, heated shower cubicle, offering vital help, especially during the colder months. At the aid centre, refugees find not only essential facilities for personal hygiene but also receive food, assistance in finding accommodation, and psychological support. It’s a place where they can, hopefully, breathe a sigh of relief.

For the Ride Ventoux 2024 event, a 7-person team set up 40 folding gazebos for 8 days straight, sheltering the cyclists, volunteers, and medical crew. Depending on the weather, they added rain gutters, side walls, or weights to the 4x4 m and 8x4 m gazebos to keep everything secure. And the next day? It all got packed away and reassembled at the next stop! 🚛

Wir haben uns im windigen Schabs mit Markus Trocker getroffen. Bereits seit mehreren Jahren betreut er den Wünschewagen des Landesrettungsverein Weißes Kreuz. Ein Projekt, durch das Wünsche von alten und schwerkranken Patient:innen erfüllt werden können – von der Fahrt auf die Alm bis zur Reise ins über 1.000 km entfernte London. Dabei ist es die Arbeit von zahlreichen Ehrenamtlichen, die das Wünscheerfüllen möglich macht. Um sie und das gesamte Projekt zu unterstützen, spenden wir den Reinerlös der diesjährigen Ausgabe unserer Benefizveranstaltung KULTUR IN DER FABRIK an den Wünschewagen - sogni e vai. 🤍
