The welder's mask as part of a ritual to abstract the audience and transport them into a dark, electronic and post-industrial ceremony. layed several live sets and concerts as Synthetic Mushdrum since 2022 (MONO, SAVE Biennale 2021 Brindisi, Maestro Biennale d'Arte a Monopoli, and more). With Karma Shock project he has shared the stage with many prominent bands of the darkwave scene such as Ash Code, Neon, Diaframma, SYGYZYX, She Pleasure Herself, Saigon Blue Rain, Deus Ex Lumina and more. Active as DJ since 1995, Piero Cocozza has performed in many clubs and alternative locations all around Italy

Synthetic Mushdrums is a Piero Cocozza’s solo side project (Karma Shock).

It’s a trip through smoky dark discos of 80s where people dancing on synthetic sounds of drum machines and synthesizers. Music for strobe lights and smoke machines rather than mirror balls and lasers, where high energy of disco mixed with the melancholy of new wave.
