Ogni tanto ho bisogno di ricordare uno dei miei miti musicali Marvin Gaye.
In adolescenza la prima copia italiana di What’s Going On 1971. Poi la copia del 40° Anniversario, dopo la copia in Ep per il 45°, spero di fermarmi con la copia del 50°. Un dipinto, la biografia dell'artista, il racconto Motown, la casa discografica dei suoi capolavori e tanto altro...in vinile e non solo.
Magnificant Montague , è un disc-jockey americano noto non solo per i dischi di musica soul che ha contribuito a promuovere su KGFJ Los Angeles e WWRL New York City , ma anche per il suo marchio di fabbrica lo slogan, "Brucia, piccola! Brucia!" quello divenne il grido di battaglia delle rivolte di Watts del 1965.
Nel 1964 sulla rivista《Billboard》Alla domanda 《 Cos'ha un DJ negro che non può essere imitato da un DJ bianco ?》 rispose, 《 È SOUL, amico, SOUL. Cos'è soul ?
È l'essere assunti per ultimi e licenziati per primi, è la sensazione di essere sempre scuri, di essere quelli-che-siedono-in-fondo-all'autobus. O vivi con noi, o non ce l'hai...》

Magnificant Montague, is an American disc-jockey known not only for the soul music records he helped promote on KGFJ Los Angeles and WWRL New York City, but also for his trademark catchphrase, "Burn, baby! Burn !" that became the rallying cry of the Watts riots of 1965.
In 1964 magazine《Billboard》When asked 《What's wrong with a black DJ that can't be imitated by a white DJ?》 he replied, 《It's SOUL, man, SOUL. What is soul ?

Earth Wind & Fire e la loro presenza nella Disco Chart dal 1975 al 1981, sono ben 9 i loro brani, nel 74 il primo lp di platino Open Your Eyes nel 75 l'apoteosi That's The Way Of The World, dal 75 al 79 in tour in assoluto la prima band afroamericana a riempire arene e stadi, il live Gratitude poi Spirit nel 77 entra in scena Eumir Deodato nell'lp All 'n All che contiene Fantasy brano con cui la band è maggiormente identificata, Deodato, Del Barrio e Da Costa insieme per Brazilian Rhyme. Nel frattempo White produce le Emotions, nel 78 The Best Vol 1 che contiene l'inedito September. I fantastici 9 con After The Love Has Gone, In The Stone, Star, Boogie Wonderland successi planetari estratti dall'album I Am, 1981 ennesimo disco d'oro con Raise le piste da ballo mondiali ballano Let's Groove. Negli anni successivi Maurice White si ritira dalla scene, lasciando questo pianeta nel 2016.

Siamo in Italia è il 1975 io c'ero Raffaele Francavilla (Raffavoca) era il 31 Maggio. Insieme a mio fratello Michelangelo e soprattutto mio padre Pasquale che ha creduto fortemente in noi apriamo la discoteca Black Music in un paese San Giovanni Rotondo (Fg). Impianti della Giapponese Toa Instruments poi Cabotron by JBL, giradischi Lenco poi Techinics 1200 registratore a bobine Sony, luci, strobo e wood della neonata Coemar (forse i primi in Italia ad usare una centralina comando luci manuale o automatica) e poi SGM. Il nostro pubblico, emozionante il Disc jockey (io, ancora di più) con dischi d'importazione Soul e Funky creammo la nostra isola felice. Tra brani svelti ballatissimi e lenti per un approccio più certo, anche noi in anticipo di due anni dal famoso Studio 54 di New York e in contemporanea con la Baia degli Angeli.

Together with my brother Michelangelo and above all my father Pasquale who strongly believed in us we open the Black Music disco in a town of San Giovanni Rotondo (Fg). Japanese Toa Instruments systems then Cabotron by JBL, Lenco turntables then Techinics 1200, Sony reel recorder, lights, strobe and wood by the newborn Coemar (perhaps the first in Italy to use a manual or automatic light control unit) and then SGM. Our audience, thrilling the Disc jockey (me, even more) with Soul and Funky imported discs created our happy island. Between quick and slow danced songs for a more certain approach, we too two years ahead of the famous Studio 54 in New York and at the same time as the Bay of Angels.

Non esiste un musicista dancefloor più convinto è infuriato di Gino Soccio. Dal Molise-Italia al Canada, di Montreal irrompe nell'ultimo scorcio degli anni 70, fanatico di Moog e drum-machine, nel 1979 l'album Outline che contiene Dancer smash-hit da discoteca, segue il 45 giri The Visitors. Il suo disco-anthem ancora ballatissimo è Try It Ou.
