I will cherish the memory of this incredible couple for years to come. Stephanie and Thomas planned their unconventional elopement in Sicily all the way from the USA, despite never having set foot in Europe before. Everything seemed perfect until their journey took an unexpected turn. Upon arriving in Munich for their connecting flight to Catania, they were met with a snowstorm that paralyzed the airport, freezing all flights indefinitely. It seemed their dream wedding was slipping away. But love has a way of overcoming obstacles. I immediately reached out to all the vendors to reschedule their event. By a stroke of luck—everything could be adjusted, thanks to the low season and everyone’s remarkable flexibility. The wedding was postponed just a few days, giving Stephanie and Thomas a chance to find another way to reach Sicily. The only lingering issue was their accommodation. They had reserved luxurious apartments with the best views in Taormina through Airbnb, and such changes on short notice are rarely easy. Yet, with the kindness and understanding of @isolabellainfinitysuites, the dates were moved, ensuring the couple could live out their dream fairytale. Their journey didn’t end there. Unable to fly out of Munich, Stephanie and Thomas’s determination drove them to rent a car and travel to the nearest unaffected airport. Against all odds and after countless hours on the road, they finally arrived in Sicily—albeit with only one day to celebrate. In that single day, they showed what love truly means: boundless, persistent, and unshaken by adversity. Their story is a testament to the strength of the bond between two souls destined to be together. Wedding planning is not only a story about bows and flowers. Professional wedding planning is about the ability to face any challenges within strict timing and stressful conditions and coordinate all the elements in the shortest time, finding the best strategy to maintain the original project at its 👌. This wedding day started with the strong wind of 50 km/h, when any outside setup could potentially create a hazardous situation for the guests and property. There was an estimation that the wind would calm close to the evening time, but we are not Gods and must think about all possible weather variations. Having the plan B options ready to implement, we tried to maintain the original project of outside wedding dinner by correcting the timings of preparation of different parts of the setup from the starry sky to the florals according to the current situation with wind. Different variations of more safe floral setup were tried also. All of these became possible thanks to amazing collaboration between the venue Castello Tafuri Charming Suites catering Banquetò , Melina Fiori e Piante florist and LUCA Aliffi Sound&Service lighting services. Thanks to coordinated decisions of the Team, this wedding could happen exactly as the couple it dreamed nevertheless weather challenges. Every bride has an imagine of a #weddingsetup or backdrop of her dream. But the real life imposes certain limits, like flowers availability, lighting and budget. As professional wedding planner, I help all my couples to visualise their dream bringing it from their head to a picture. How do I design the spaces? I collaborate with the best designers who are able to paint any of the detail of the wedding setup just over the real photo of the venue. As usual we choose the main perspective and starting to add the essential details like chairs, celebrant table, flowers compositions. I provide the designer with a #moodboard and all the shapes and color tones approved previously by the couple. We can try different sizes, shapes and colors, we can try to add pillars or to move them in different positions to achieve the best look. This approach might be very helpful especially when the couple is not sure if to add a certain element in the setup or not.
