Il Concorso Miss trans Italia nasce sulla scia della polemica di esclusione di una trans dal Concorso Miss italia (edizione regionale Campania). Regina Satariano ed Anastasia Della Monica Direttrici entrambe dell'allora Frau Marlene di Torre del lago (Lucca) decisero di Organizzare nel 1992 la prima edizione (ed allora l'intento era che fosse l'unica) di Miss trans Italia
