Look at the blue skies we had in these pictures and on our video - this year it's been very wet the last few days, hopefully a sign that the ski season is going to be good here in Abruzzo ⛷️🏂. But on the other hand not much progress will be made on our terrace 😦
Let's hope the gas excavation works I've just paid for get done though whatever the weather so that Palazzo San Benedetto can have gas for the first time in its history!

Yesterday we were invited to in Palombaro, Abruzzo. Elizabeth and Kevin Byrne the owners from Ireland are just starting out on their renovation journey but wow what a journey it's going to be. This cultural heritage palazzo is something else. It's steeped in history, it's massive, (our palazzo could fit into it at least two times if not more), it has amazing and far-reaching views, it has so much character and so much potential. Their vision for the palazzo's future is fabulous. We are so excited for them!
Oh, and we had the most delicious roast lunch... thank you so much for a wonderful day 😊

Meeting with of .b.ristrutturazionisrl yesterday. Great company. Great meeting filmed by the lovely Olga for . Davide speaks English, as do our fantastic architects which has been fabulous for us 'stranieri'. They are a brilliant team, and guess what.... we are so close to finishing 🥳

This was Tuesday at the palazzo. Sedat an incredibly talented young artisan ironworker came to fix the security hinges and other fixtures to our front door. It is now impossible for the doors to be opened by anyone other than us or to be kicked in again. Yes, again! It's happened twice now. Even in a small, quiet hilltop village crime can happen unfortunately.
