On the roof at our Italian Palazzo Renovation Project, Palazzo San Benedetto in Abruzzo, Italy, again! This time, we are not replacing roof tiles, but we have a different reason for scaling those scary heights.
Owning and renovating a cultural heritage palazzo, particularly one you don't live in, is no easy task. Are you thinking of buying and renovating a cultural heritage property here in Italy? Watch our latest video on our channel (link in bio and in comments below) and follow our journey before you commit to what could become a very tricky and expensive renovation journey.
In this video, we detail two sticking points for us into making this a suitably habitable building for a family of four. You will start to understand why it's taking so long and what just two of the many hurdles and hold ups to our project are. Buyer Beware!!!
Sometimes we do like a moan, in fact sometimes we do NEED a moan, but, we promise, once we've got over these hurdles we hope we will be cruising forward, leaving our rental, moving into the Terrace Apartment which is Phase 1, Step 1 and securing funding to complete Step 2 (our future home),before we begin the massive task of Phase 2. This rollercoaster ride of a renovation journey is not for the faint-hearted! Be warned!
We would be so pleased if you would subscribe to our channel, it's FREE and it means that once we reach 1000 subscribers and achieve 40000 watch hours (we're only at 800 plus) we can become monetised which means that all revenue made from the channel can go towards renovating this palazzo with parts of it 1,200 years old.
We also have a Gofundme, and if your funds allow, we would be delighted if you would consider contributing. Any amount; small or large, means so much to us each cent will go towards the renovation and survival of Palazzo San Benedetto. Thank you so much. www.gofundme.com/palazzosanbenedetto
