I received my training from the Celebrant Foundation and Institute in Montclair, NJ and I am also a legally certified Civil Celebrant in the state of NJ and soon to be NY. visioned for themselves and working with them to introduce rituals, readings, poems, songs and prose that will fit that vision and give them the ceremony of their dreams. I became inspired to do this work after being asked to officiate at a few weddings and memorial services for friends and family. It struck me that the standard cookie cutter ceremonies just weren't working for the modern family. When I discovered like minded people at the Celebrant Foundation and Institute, I knew I was on the right track. One ritual that seems to resonate for couples is the Handfasting, the true origins of the phrase, "The Tying of the Knot" I also create one of a kind handfasting cords that incorporate colors, charms and ribbons that are customized for your big day.
