Too much power, unchecked, can often lead to a tragic end. Throughout history, we've seen how individuals who challenge the status quo and fight for freedom are often met with violence. Malcolm X, Tupac Shakur, and Nipsey Hussle were all taken from us because their messages of justice, equality, and empowerment threatened the powers that be.

These icons were more than just cultural figures—they were voices for the oppressed, fighting for change and equality in a world that didn’t want to listen. Their lives were cut short, but their legacies continue to inspire and push the conversation forward. Malcolm X stood against systemic oppression, Tupac spoke out about the struggles of inner-city life, and Nipsey was a beacon of entrepreneurship and community upliftment.

Countless others have fought and died so we could have the opportunities we enjoy today. Yet, too many are still lost in violence, hatred, and senseless conflict. We continue to tear each other down instead of building each other up. It's time to reflect on the sacrifices made for our freedom and honor them by choosing peace, respect, and unity over division and hate. The real power lies in coming together for the greater good, not tearing each other apart. Let’s stop fighting each other and start fighting for a better future for everyone."

ABOUT DJ OG BONES – THE MIXOLOGIST WHO DEFIES THE ODDS

My name is DJ OG BONES, also known as DJ BONES PRODUCTIONS, and my story is one of survival, faith, and relentless determination. I’ve dedicated my life to music, creating over 600 mix CDs that you can find across the internet. As a Mixologist, I’ve made it my mission to uplift talented underground artists—the ones fighting for a chance to be heard. But behind the music is a life shaped by struggle. At just 15 months old, I swallowed lye soap and bleach. It gave me third-degree burns from my mouth to my stomach. Doctors didn’t think I’d live to see my second birthday. They said I’d never make it, but God had other plans. My insides were literally rebuilt, and so was my spirit.

Growing up, I faced challenge after challenge. I lived in six foster homes, each one bringing its own struggles, and endured abuse and pain that could have broken me. I know what it’s like to feel abandoned and forgotten. I turned to the streets, rolling 60s Crip, searching for belonging in a life that almost consumed me.

They said I couldn’t make it as a DJ because I couldn’t speak—the damage from my childhood injuries took my voice. But what they didn’t realize was that God had given me a different voice—a voice through music, through my hands, and through the passion that fuels everything I do.

I’ve walked through the fire. I’ve faced doubt, abuse, and gang life, but I survived it all. God’s grace carried me when I couldn’t carry myself. And now, I’m here to prove that no matter how broken your story starts, it doesn’t have to end that way.

Doubt kills more dreams than failure ever will. Don’t let anyone make you question your purpose. Even the greatest visionaries were called crazy before they changed the world. Believe in yourself, trust in the Lord, and fight for what you’re passionate about.
