Introduction & Background
In December 2010 Tearaz Productions was officially born with its first event Dosage under its name. Tearaz Productions has been headed by Carlos McIntosh and has a determined and hard working team which is made up of members from different ethnic backgrounds. However, Dosage was not the first event for the members as a group. In 2007, we made our first mark with the inst
allment of RASTA MEK DI EARTH SHAKE which was a stage show. This event had featured artistes such as Munga Honorable who was the number one artist of that time, Coco Tea, Gyptain, I-Wayne, Lutan Fyah, Eddie Fitzroy, just to name a few. Rasta Mek Di Earth Shake has given us unprecedented popularity and respect among persons in, around and outside of the May Pen Community. That event was a major success and that success stemmed over into 2008. A decision was made in 2008 to partner with another promoter to host High School Link Up. However, after three events the partnerships was short live in August 2010. In December of that same year, 2010, we continue to build on the success from previous years with Dosage, knowing the fact that we were using a new production name. Dosage was held on the 26th of December and has become an annual event since then and is presently in its fourth season and will continue to be a success. Tearaz Productions has entered 2011 on a high because of the partnership that was formed with Mr. We manage a recording label which currently signs three (3) talented young artists. The relationship has grown enormously over the period and will continue to do so. The responsibility was given to Tearaz Productions to spare head the promotions for a party called Friction which was an Appleton sponsored event held in June 2011. Friction was a tremendous success both for May Pen Crew, the promoter, and Appleton, the sponsor. Represent Yuh Friend, is a memorial or commemorative event held yearly which started in July 2011 for the late sister of a member of the group. This featured the best new artist of that year Chan Dizzy of Head Concussion Records. The successes continued for Tearaz Productions/Ash Tracks Records with the second staging of Dosage. The event increase over 30% more than the previous years and has left a mark on its patrons. Entering 2012, more time was spent working on young artists and the label released enormous singles and music videos. These have been receiving constant rotation on popular radio stations and cable networks across the island. Rudy Memorial on 21 July 2012 was the talk of the summer and was supported by various artists’ such as I-Octane, D’Angel and Ash Tracks Artist Ras Akkurate and Iceberg. In 2013, so far we have kept three (3) events. Wet and Tipsy was kept twice since this year in May and July and we also hosted Rudy Memorial in July as well. Our plan is to close off the year with Dosage as the party of the year.
