We at Mac Elyon Bites, highly appreciate all our clients and all those who go out of their way to refer/ recommend us far and wide... However, today being Woman Crush Wednesday, let me take this opportunity just to acknowledge one Irene Mulokwa aka Irene Nekesa who has been more than a God-sent Angel to us. Since we started operations in Kitale in 2020, Irene, whom I've met only twice, has referred us uncountable times.

This kind- hearted lady would even stop strangers on the road and ask them if they wanted cake and immediately send them over to me. Not once or twice, would she strike a cake deal on my behalf then call me while laughing, "Aki Mercy kuna mtu amenipea order ya cake hapa na simjui... Nipee bei ya xyz mbio nimwambie akutumie deposit immediately hii order isikupite".

Being that she works right at the centre of Kitale town, we must have processed 100+ orders courtesy of her. I shifted to Bungoma last year and Irene did not let my ovens rest, she made sure I delivered cakes to Kitale town via shuttles and she would pick them up and drop them off to the respective clients. She would then follow through until the clients clears the balance with me. Guess what? She does all this expecting nothing in return. We are not related by blood or anything but she is just a special Gem.

Afew days ago, she celebrated her birthday and we just had to go the extra mile and make her day memorable. We may never repay her enough for her good deeds but it's my utmost prayer that the Good Lord will richly bless and reward her in ways beyond what she imagines.

Please join me celebrate Irene and wish her a fabulous year ahead.
