However, the choices are numerous and it can be very frustrating trying to choose and pick up out what you've always dreamed of... To layout a perfect picture, that vision that you've carried on for as long as you can remember.... I sat down the other day and realized that a number of people have their events torn to pieces due to lack of expertise in the events management area-event planning,honestly,I would not claim to be a master in an area which I have not specialized in...Event planning being a passion and not just a pay cheque ,I sat down and come up with an offer so that everyone is able to have access to correct information from an expert in regards to any event at hand{I would want to imagine everyone would want their event to be as unique and elegant as it can be}So as a company,we have decided to come up with a consultation flat rate fee of Ksh 3,000,whereby if you can not be able to take us on to run your event from beginning to the end due to finance restraints,then at least you are able to access professional expertise on the event at hand from the site of the event to the design and choosing of vendors and suppliers for you.However,if you are able to take us on we have come up with a flat rate of Ksh 50,000 as the administration fee,and this will include running your event from the start to the finish.

Ladies and gentlemen,I have often been asked 'why should one hire an event planner?'Well,event planning requires a lot of time to plan,expertise, research whereby one finds out all they can about vendors and suppliers,creativity also comes into play in the design phase of event planning, during which you sketch out the overall "feel" and "look" of the event,the bigger the event the more lead time that's required to plan it. Major events are planned years in advance,you do need to allow at least a few months for events like corporate events,weddings,corporate reunions or large parties.Coordination after the initial plans will always turn your attention to each of the activities that form a part of the overall event,this is why planners need to step in and give these special events the attention they deserve.

If renting a reception tent,create a romantic environment by purchasing sheering fabric and 2-inch ribbon to drape around the canopy,create billows of fabric and hang from the ceiling,wrap around polls and swag in the entryway.
Whether an indoor or outdoor reception,flowers help set the tone but can quickly add up,a typical flower budget is 15% of the overall cost of a wedding.Consider flowers that are locally available an that should bring the budget down significantly.

When it comes to deciding on your wedding entertainment, booking the right type for your chosen venue is really important, you don’t want to be squeezing a 10-piece band onto a tiny stage, or putting an acoustic duo in the middle of a field. What sort of wedding venue have you decided on? Are you having a stylish wedding in the summer with your reception in a marquee ? Have you decided to hold the wedding in a hotel? Maybe you’re having a city wedding with a small and intimate lunch or dinner in a chic restaurant?There are a huge variety of places to tie the knot and celebrate your big day, and couples choose different venues for a variety of reasons ,budget, location, the setting, the atmosphere and more. However, if you’ve decided to provide entertainment for your guests at your wedding, you need to make sure it is going to fit the venue you’ve chosen.Some venues will be noise restricted, there is no point booking a five piece band if there is a noise limit, check on curfew times as well,If you discover there are noise limits in place get creative and opt for a silent disco. You’ll also need to check that there are ample power points for what you have in mind, so you don’t trip the whole of the venue electrics out, though,If you’ve got a large space to fill, then your entertainment choices are only really limited by your budget.

However, you could try to create an old-fashioned nightclub kind of atmosphere if you’re having an evening do with a limited number of guests,think of the old style Hollywood movies for inspiration , black-tie clad musicians playing classic favorites,choose a venue with a small, intimate dance floor, put small tables alongside for chatting and let your guests enjoy dancing cheek to cheek to intimate numbers,maybe you should even have a 1930’s style dress code…..
A string quartet gently playing as guests arrive creates a sophisticated atmosphere and a talking point for people who may not know one another,the musicians take up very little room.,this is an idea that works well both at lunch and later in the evening.

On the food front, you could always offer up canapés in place of a starter,naturally the number of people you invite will impact your budget, particularly if you’re planning to serve a formal sit-down wedding meal. Setting rules such as no plus-ones for single guests, work-mates being invited to just the evening celebration or even an adults-only guest list are all great ways to help keep the numbers under control.

Food is going to eat up quite a bit of your budget, so you might be tempted to scrimp and save here and there. Not a good idea! If your guests end up starving and in need of a drink then they’re not going to be having a good time,they will want to walk out and look for a hotel/restaurant where they can have something to eat!! (and won’t have fond memories of your wedding day),make sure you offer refreshments/cocktails as soon as the ceremony is over and everyone is gathering at the reception venue,on behalf of starving guests everywhere, please don’t have a late morning or early afternoon wedding and then not feed anyone until the evening,you will end up having grumpy guests. Far better to get married later in the day and then have a fabulous evening party with sumptuous ample food. You don’t have to have a formal sit down dinner either,enquire about buffet option costs, roasts or maybe a barbecue.Alternatively, if you really are on a tight budget and don’t plan on having an evening party, you could serve a sumptuous afternoon high tea with sandwiches, cakes and pastries and champagne for the toasts.
I think the bride should pay for the bridesmaids’ dresses,particularly if you’ve chosen the sort of dress they’re unlikely to be able to wear again…. However if you really can’t stretch to that, then we suggest you let the girls choose dresses that they would like to wear more than once which is a useful addition to any girl’s wardrobe.
I think it’s far better to spend a bit more on a pair of shoes you’re going to wear over and over again and feel like a princess, than economize and buy a cheaper pair that you only ever wear once and then keep somewhere in the closet where it collects dusts.Enjoy yourself,just make sure you stick to your budget and work out the cost per wear, and you’ll realize those dream heels aren’t quite as expensive as you thought.

You have found your dream bridal gown on the internet and it’s well within your means, it’s a complete bargain, you pay for it and you can’t wait for it to arrive, If something seems too good to be true then it probably is.We can’t tell you how many sad tales we’ve heard from brides who’ve taken this route,either the dress never turns up or when it does it’s made out of cheap material, or it doesn’t fit and looks awful,a total complete reap off. Don’t do it,walk around,go to designer bridal stores fit into what you want thank them and leave,having an idea of what you want,then wear your most comfortable shoes and shop around in town,westlands,lavington..anywhere they have wedding mentioned,get in and look around.
You’ve got a photographer friend who’s offered to take the shots for your big day for no cost, or as a wedding present, be very wary of this one,a professional wedding photographer is just that, somebody who knows their job, who’s trained and who has captured a good few weddings beforehand,they won’t want to rush off to socialize with the guests and down a few glasses of Gin & Tonic on your behalf! Our advise to you is use a professional wedding photographer, you only get one shot at your wedding photographs and they will be a longstanding memory of your big day. If your own photos friends,parents and guests images aren’t great, then how are you going to feel?Second wedding?Think not!!You shouldn’t economize on a wedding videographer,not having the wedding filmed is one of a couple’s top regrets, so it’s certainly worth spending some money on.
