The County Government of Nakuru through the Directorate of Education today held an induction programme of the 306 newly employed ECD teachers at the Nakuru vocational Training.

The teachers will be deployed to various schools across the County based on the need of the schools

Speaking at the event, CECM for Education,ICT and e-goverment Mr.Francis Mwangi congratulated the 306 newly employed ECDE teachers for successfully going through the recruitment process that had over 3000 applicants.

Mr.Mwangi urged the teachers to always maintain professionalism at work, adhere to chapter 6 of the constitution on integrity and also the preprimary of education policy.

Rachael Wangui and Ruth Thuo who are abled differently are few among others who were employed by the county on permanent and pensionable terms.

They appreciated the County for adhering to the employment act and considering persons living with disabilities.

At the moment the administration has employed over 600 ECD teachers and is looking forward to employ more to ensure the teachers to learners ratio is balanced.
