I accompanied my male friend to school for an accademic day and candidates prayer day. We the headteacher denied us access to the functions venue claiming only couples allowed.

I responded of we are a couple of guys. We we allowed in.

We were given First Class treatment.

Head teacher, we are glad you have decided to visit your kids, He proceeded 'Who is the father?!'

I pointed at my friend. She replied ladies first directing me where to sit.

Hapo ndo nkagutuka hee Mimi na madevu haya yote nimekuwa 'Mshe'.

Nkamjibu Kwa hasira 'mimi ni Ndume tafadhali'

Akajibu are you not married. Nkaona huyu anabangi . Nkamcheki mwenzangu tukaungana sasa.

But you told me u are a couple of g**s.

Nilikosa la kujibu.

Ultimately I have enjoyed interacting with teachers, pastoral leaders pupils and fellow parents. Hata baada ya kukwazwa.
