Things that make me a proud mwalimu.

She's 10 year old Joanna, she was in our November 2023 kids' class.
Here's the latest of her amazing goodies.

The first unit of our bake class ends on a savoury note. It is this designed and very intentionally too because our main objective is to empower our learners.
We teach more than cakes in our class and with the skills learnt, each graduate will always have something to offer to their clients.
Yes... Graduate. Due to our students demand, we might just have our first graduation ceremony in the near future.
We are Aggy's Kitchen and we train to empower. Literally👌🏽.

We teach, we bake, we cook.
At Aggy's Kitchen , we train in baking and cookery, bake cakes for all occasions and provide outside catering seevices.
The past week was sweet and savoury. Literally.

Most times when students come to register for our baking course, the first question usually is, 'will I really be able to bake cakes after such a 'short' time?'
One of the students in the just ended class was not only concerned about the 'short' course duration, but also that she had never used the oven. In fact, she was so sure their oven was faulty🤷🏽‍♀️.
The amazing thing is that, she is not only baking cake, and perfectly so, but also bread, among others.
This is what we mean when we say, we train to empower.

Apart from baking, we also have cookery classes.
In these, we teach how to plan and prepare meals for various groups of people, kitchen hygiene, safety among other things.
At the end of this class, the learners are assessed both practically and theoretically.
They are also able to plan and budget for a 500pax cross cultural wedding.
The course duration is 4weeks at a cost of 45'000.
We are located in Ruai, at lexo petrol station, opposite quickmart.

Today I wanna share one of the many success stories we have of our baking classes.
Cynthia Jimmy is currently taking her baking class with us.
When she first engaged me and I shared our course outline and the course duration, the first question was, 'nitashika hizo vitu zote within that time?' I assured her she would, as this is a tried and tested course.
Please note, she had never baked before, and, yes, we started the class.
Her questions are different now...
We are discussing her cake orders and family treats she makes at home.
These are trully things that make me a .

Our ongoing bake classes...
For us, 'training to empower' is not cliché, we are intentional, with most of our learners already taking orders even before the end of their course.
Being a certified M_OliveS Mentoring Consultants mentor is also a plus for me because my students become first hand beneficiaries of the extra skill, and, yes, we keep getting better at what we do and for what we do.

The past few weeks have been quite eventful, or, should I say, bakeful...
We had the pleasure and honour to bakefully grace occasions in various parts of the country, and events.
From Bunyore to Machakos, makadara to kamulu and other parts of Nairobi.
All glory, praise and honour to God Almighty for giving us the favour🙏🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

This is an appreciation post, to my students from far and wide. I have been thinking about God 's favour, and I can trully say that I am favoured of the Lord. A cake experience... Chocolate fudge sandwitched with fresh dairy cream, luscious strawberries and roasted cashew nuts... Covered with rich chocolate ganache...a thick border of roasted cashews, topped with luscious strawberries and kiwi, crunchy cashews, assorted chocolates and oreo....pure bliss😘
