⚠️🚨⚠️🚨⚠️Announcement: Transport To And From Nesat Village! ⚠️🚨⚠️🚨⚠️🚨
Please note that we expect bands and artists will start performing from approximately 1pm on New Year's Eve, and the event will conclude around 10:30am on New Year's Day!
If you’re looking for transport options to and from Nesat Village on New Year's Eve & New Year's Day, we’re happy to recommend two bus companies who have been helpful and supportive to Nesat Market in our mission to bring you the best live music event this NYE!

First off, Giant Ibis, whose website can be found here:
https://www.giantibis.com/
Giant Ibis are official Nesat Market supporters, and we’d like to loudly and happily thank the team there for very kindly providing the transport we need, free of charge, for our musicians and artists in Phnom Penh to come to the village to perform, and to return them back again on New Year’s Day!
This is a very kind thing they’re doing and it shows their commitment to supporting culture in Cambodia with small organisations like ourselves, who are endeavouring to support live, independent music in the Kingdom. We’re aware that they have limited availability on their timetabled network, so if you want to travel with Giant Ibis, book as quickly as you can please.

We’d also like to say a big thank you to VET (Vireak Buntham), who have been helpful in regularly meeting with the Nesat Market team to discuss transport options with them. They have their website here:
https://vireakbuntham.com/
With a young fleet of buses and coaches, VET are standing ready to transport you to Koh Kong province (and beyond!). In addition to their bus and coach fleet which can be booked for groups, with a driver provided by the company, they have advised us to let you know that they also offer private hire cars as well. If you would like to discuss transport options with them in-person, their HQ is located in Phnom Penh, at this location:

They would be very happy to see you drop by for a chat!
Both Giant Ibis and VET presently can only offer a drop off at ‘Nesat Beach Station’ which is here:
https://maps.app.goo.gl/5Tz2CeqNdzW1ec1j7
Once here, you will need to either use an app (e.g. Grab, PassApp), or speak to local people to book a tuk tuk or other vehicle to bring you along the final stretch of the way to Nesat Village, which is here:
https://maps.app.goo.gl/EMHWbYMreiTtEQ6h8
With that said, it has been known, unofficially of course, that if a large group on a bus would like a small detour, drivers have been known to do this for a few extra dollars whilst en-route 😉

Local people may also refer to Nesat Village as ‘Phum Barang’ - this may prove useful to know when explaining where you want to go. Our team in the village have been talking to local people to raise awareness of the NYE event, and to invite all local people to come and join us on the day, and throughout the night!

We also have the details of private taxi drivers who come recommended by people living in Nesat Village, who have regularly travelled with them and trust them to provide a good service in comfortable cars - here they are:
Home Taxi Cambodia (Mr. Yinn): https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100008025468769
Mr. Yinn has provided his taxi service to Nesat Village, and prior to Nesat, in Otres Village too, for many years, and is a trusted and well-loved friend of the community.
Mr. Ron: (Telegram & Phone Calls: 096 746 1949).
Mr. Ron has an Istana minibus/van if you have a group of people wanting to travel together to save money. There is also a Lexus potentially available as well. Mr. Ron is another well-liked and trusted taxi driver for several residents of Nesat Village.
LiDy Taxis (Nesat-PP) (Telegram & Phone Calls: 096 565 8488).
Finally, LiDy Taxis are also recommended by Nesat villagers and you can contact LiDy via Telegram or regular phone call.
As and when we hear of more public transport providers, we’ll be sure to add them to this list.

If you’re planning to come on New Year’s Eve using your own transport (e.g. private car or motorbike), parking will be provided at the entrance to the village for a small fee.

On the topic of motorbikes, one of the Nesat Market organisers (Daniel - your writer here!), regularly travels between Phnom Penh and Nesat using his own 125cc Honda Click. Whilst this is not an option that many people would like, I personally enjoy the ride along Highway 4 greatly, as an experienced driver on Cambodian roads. With a break or two along the way, it takes me, driving slowly and carefully, around 4 ½ hours to get to the village from downtown Phnom Penh.
If you do choose this method, please wear a helmet and drive carefully and safely - take your time! We want you to arrive safe and sound and in a good condition to party! There are many lovely cafés and restaurants along the way to rest in, and the trip is a nice achievement if you don’t mind a rather flat backside upon arrival!
Please note that I’m not ‘officially recommending’ taking a 125cc or any other kind of motorbike/scooter etc. nor are we endorsing or making any claims about road safety in Cambodia, as we all know the risks of travelling on Cambodian roads, which are not the safest by any imaginable measure.
Please make your own careful decisions about your own personal safety! With that said, both myself and everyone involved in Nesat Market are truly excited and are really looking forward to meeting you all this New Year’s Eve
Much love from the Nesat Market team, and please post questions below - we're happy to help if we can!
