The Jeonju North Jeolla KOTESOL group was created to build a professional layer on to the already outstanding social community which exists, here in Jeonju. The branch brings in teachers (Korean and native English speakers) from the major city and neighbouring towns, providing a forum in which teachers can exchange and debate ideas, from a professional point of view. The existence of this network

aims to raise the standard of teaching in Jeollabuk-do, as well as offering a venue for teachers (both new faces and old) to meet and socialise.

🌟 Join JNJ KOTESOL – Where Your Skills Shine and Grow! 🌟
Are you passionate about teaching or simply curious to explore the teaching community in Korea? Joining the Jeonju North Jeolla KOTESOL chapter means being part of a vibrant network of educators dedicated to sharing ideas and enhancing our lives here.
This season, we’re announcing our upcoming officer elections in advance and inviting you to get involved yourself or to nominate a candidate! During the school terms, we meet monthly as a group to learn, share, and connect over best teaching practices and cultural tips. Everyone is welcome — no special degree or training is required.
Being part of JNJ KOTESOL offers opportunities to use your skills and gain new ones in areas like:
Event Planning 🎉
Publicity & Social Media 📲
Writing & Editing Feature Articles ✍️
Photography & Visual Media 📸
Web Design & Tech Skills 💻
We’re opening positions for roles such as web editor, publicity, secretary, event photographer, speaker coordinator, membership coordinator, and event organizer – perfect for anyone interested in building connections, expanding their professional toolkit, and enhancing their resume!!
Join us at our meeting on December 14th to elect our president, vice-president, and treasurer. To run for these three key positions, members need to have been part of KOTESOL for at least one year prior to the elections. Each term lasts just one year, but officers are welcome to run again the following year.
All KOTESOL officer positions are volunteer roles, offering the opportunity to contribute to our community with benefits such as enhancing our interpersonal connections, finding ways to improve the quality of life for teachers in Korea, and developing valuable skills in leadership, technology, and event planning.
Membership is easy to start, and joining the team offers great hands-on experience for anyone looking to deepen their skills and make a lasting difference.
Sound like something you’d like to be part of? Send us a message ( here via messenger or by email: [email protected] ) and /or join our next meeting on November 16th to learn more!
