Un-printed idea exhibition ~ each artist exhibition space presents artworks, dummy book, and experience spot for the public ! As my project is called « a piece of charcoal » and talk about the experience of drawing and nature, there is the material and space to experiment charcoal ~ I love the idea to create drawing experience place inside the exhibition, and it looks interesting for all ages 😃

As we prepared for the exhibition, each artist participated in an interview with the museum team. The interview took place at the University of Seoul (UOS), where I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree in illustration. It’s now being projected at the exhibition and is also available on YouTube (link in story and bio). Conducted in Korean, preparing for this interview was incredibly stressful for me, and I feel like some nuances may have been lost in translation. Nevertheless, I poured my heart into it and hope you’ll enjoy watching this 6-minute interview ^^ (with English subtitles).

언-프린티드 아이디어 전시회의 오프닝 행사 사진 ~
좋은 이벤트였는데 사람들 앞에서 한국어로 이야기를 해야 해서 너무 떨렸어요 >< 제 말에 실수가 많았어도 사람들이 이해했으면 좋겠어요. 남편과 가족, 선생님, 친구들이 함께 있어서 너무 감사했고, 덕분에 자신감이 생겼어요. 그리고 다른 작가들과 함께 해서 용기를 받았어요 ^-^. 그 후에 사실 너무 배고파졌는데 다행히 멋있는 맛있는 뷔페가 있었어요~ .gathering
마침내 끝냈다는 안도감과 만족감이 크네요 ~
이제 관객들이 전시회에 많은 관심을 가져주길 바랍니다 ~

Vernissage de l’exposition Un-printed Idea au MOKA Museum à Pangyo ( Hyundai Museum of Kids’ books& Art) L’idée de devoir parler en coréen devant tout le monde a occupé toutes mes pensées et j’étais bien heureuse d’avoir terminé ensuite et pouvoir profiter de l’exposition et du très joli et original buffet. La présence de ma belle famille, de mes professeurs, de mes amis coréens et français m’a donné beaucoup de courage et de gratitude. Si vous êtes en Corée l’exposition est jusqu’au 30 Juin, contactez moi pour plus d’informations, je pourrais peut-être faire une visite en français ^^

[예정전시] 언-프린티드 아이디어 Un-printed Ideas

현대어린이책미술관 MOKA의 언-프린티드 아이디어 전시는 아직 사람들에게 닿지 못한 작품들을 찾아 전시실로 꺼내,
작품 원화, 작업 과정, 더미북을 전시하고, 작품과 연계된 공간 경험과 체험 활동으로 작품을 더욱 깊이 감상할 수 있게 합니다.
또한 관람객과 작가가 소통하는 공간을 통해 그림책에 대한 생각을 공유하고, 그림책을 향한 작가들의 열의를 응원합니다.

4회를 맞은 이번 전시에서 ‘친구’, ‘자연과 사람’, ‘글이 없는 그림책’을 주제로 한 7 작가의 그림책을 소개합니다.

2017년 1회 전시 이후 1~3회 언-프린티드 아이디어 전시가 지나온 여정, 참여 작가와 다시 만나 진행한 프로젝트들도 함께 선보입니다.

New go illustration 😃Illustration for the cover of “Erster Kyu” german translation of the novel “first kyu” by Sung-Hwa Hong ^^
My first time illustrating a book cover 😊 I liked the original Korean cover idea and took inspiration from it, I also took inspiration in Minhwa, Korean traditional folk painting. After considering the original cover, I thought Minhwa was an interesting choice, where Mountain water scenery are often use to symbolize longevity prosperity life, so I thought about this illustration as the representation of the go dream that absorbed the protagonist of this novel. As a tea lover I added tea and clouds to add to the dream idea in an everyday life. I hope you will like this illustration and hope German readers will enjoy this book ^^
