🔐 It's been a while since we wrote about escape rooms...
And that's where it all started for us.
Have you ever wondered why people enjoy being locked in a room?
For an hour. With a timer, puzzles, and the lights turned off.
Here are a few facts that explain this strange thrill:
📍 The first real-life escape room appeared in 2007 in Japan. It was created by a journalist inspired by video games.
📍 Escape rooms activate up to 80% of the brain — because you think, move, and interact.
📍 People literally get a dopamine rush when they find a solution — hence the "let's do another one."
📍 Also, it's a mini-version of life. Who takes the lead? Who "freezes"? Who thinks outside the box, and who unlocks the door first?
And yes, we enjoy "being locked in" because in this box, we experience a little adventure and come out changed.
📊 By the way, the escape room market continues to grow. It is projected to reach $38 billion by 2031, with an annual growth rate of nearly 15%. People crave emotions, and they seek them in escape rooms — all around the world.
