February is known as the month of love with red roses, heart-shaped chocolates, and an endless supply of romantic comedies. Whether you're a hopeless romantic or feel discouraged by the holiday, remember that the most important relationship you have is with YOURSELF. This may sound like a cliche, but it's a powerful truth that affects your mental and physical wellness, as well as the success of your other relationships. Loving yourself is a skill that has a profound impact on every aspect of your life.

It’s ok sis . Just breathe .

Inhale though your nose
Exhale through your mouth .

Break habits that are no longer serving you .
Remember all the things you are grateful for .
Ease your body with stretches and movement
Allow yourself to slow down ……
Take a moment to relax and practice some selfcare
Health is and will always be your priority
Ease your mind and let it flow …..

See , you got this . Just breathe.

As we enter 2024 ,many of us begin to chant the familiar mantra, "New Year, New Me, we hear catch phrases like "starting over" or "clean slate" on social media and are bombarded with the influx of self-improvement articles and tips.

Don’t get me wrong , the optimistic outlook is appreciated, however, the "new year, new me" mindset can bring about a sense of discomfort. While the idea of a fresh start is enticing and it’s important to prioritize our health and set future goals, it's crucial to stop viewing ourselves as inherently flawed and in need of some kind of fixing.

Every year , you make the resolution to change yourself. This year , make the resolution to BE yourself.

SWIPE for 5 things you can do instead of "New Year , New me"

At the start of every year, I choose one word to guide me through the next 12 months. This year, I've chosen a word that will inspires me, motivates me , and help me focus on what's important. Having a word of the year is more than just a slogan or a catchphrase - it's a guiding principle that will shape everything you do in the coming year.

For me, my word this year is "Cultivate."

"Making intentional investments in the things that matter most."

Just as a rose garden flourishes and grows more beautiful with tender loving care, so does the mind when nurtured. When you cultivate your mind, you're not only exposed to new ideas and knowledge, but you experience growth and enrichment.

I want to invest in the things that matter most. These include relationships of all kinds ( My son , friendships , family, dating , business partnerships ) and myself (my health and wellbeing, mindfulness, self-care, purposeful vacation time, as well as furthering the success of H.E.R.)

I plan on cultivating radical acceptance and compassion , unwavering grace, audacious joy and unbridled happiness by spending more time investing in the things that matter most, and spending less time on the things that do not 2024 and beyond.

What is your word for 2024? Check out some tips in our stories on how to choose yours.

Life is full of responsibilities and obligations, but I've learnt over the past few years that it's up to us how we choose to approach them. Circumstances surrounding my professional and personal life this year have pushed me even further to embrace the I GET TO mentality .

So try looking at things differently ....

I don't have to go to work , I GET to go to work.

I don't have to work out in the morning , I GET to have a body that I can exercise , I GET to be healthy enough to move.

Try it. You GET to live this life . Think of everything you do as a gift that you GET to do and see how it changes.

I have a confession to make, and it's not an easy one to admit. I'm not great at expressing gratitude, and I've been neglecting this important practice and I know I am not the only one. However, studies demonstrate that keeping track of things you're thankful for can substantially increase your levels of happiness.

By making a habit of jotting down your thoughts of gratitude, you're training yourself to focus on the positive aspects of your life. This simple activity is intended to be uplifting, and it takes less time than watching a single episode on Netflix.

Join me for our annual 10-Day Gratitude Challenge starting December 15th 2023!

December can be an overwhelming month, with holiday stresses and responsibilities filling up our schedules. It's all too easy to forget about our own self-care in the midst of the chaos. However, neglecting self-care can take a huge toll on our mental health and physical wellbeing.

Although it may seem challenging to fit self-care into our busy days, there are still plenty of things we can do at home to take care of ourselves. Even without the luxury of a 3-hour bubble bath or a trip to the spa, self-care can be simple and affordable.

To stay on track with my own self-care routine, I've created a 30-day self-care calendar and I'm sharing it with you .
