XL-ENTERTAINMENT RELEASES OFFICIAL VOTING RESULTS

The Miss Liberia Official Kick-Off was held last night May 13, 2022 at the historic Monrovia City Hall Theatre, in Monrovia, Liberia. The event was filled with wonderful performances by all of the contestants. Four counties went head-to-head to choose one contestant to represent them at the grand finale with the other eleven counties; namely Grand Cape Mount County, Grand Gedeh County, Maryland County and Montserrado County. Public voting and the judges’ score cards would be used to determine the winners. Public voting was undertaken via the eWallie app and via Orange SMS constituting 40% of the vote; with the judges score cards comprising the other 60%.

As XL-Entertainment is committed to maintaining Miss Liberia as a transparent, free and fair competition, we are publishing the summary of the overall votes, the overall rankings from 1-19 and rankings by county. The contestants are identified by their numbers. Please watch this space for more information, as voting kicks off next week for the Next Round until the Grand Finale.

The 25th Miss Liberia, the Bicentennial Edition, kicks off on May 13, 2022 at the historic Monrovia City Hall. A night of culture, entertainment and competition as we Celebrate Liberia, its Culture and Tourism. That night will feature some of Liberia's biggest stars, fashionistas, and socialites gracing the occasion as we honor some of Liberia's Cultural Icons past and present.

The event is by invitation only, however the Miss Liberia team will also give some invitations out to some of our fans and followers. Follow the Miss Liberia page and pages on TikTok, Twitter, Instagram and MissLiberia Tv YouTube channel as we give invitations out over the coming days. Miss Liberia Organizers and Beauty Queens Meet and Dates and Schedule of Auditions Set

Monrovia, September 13, 2021: XL Entertainment, the company that won the bid to hold Miss Liberia, recently held a meeting with several of the beautiful young Liberian women aspiring to be the next Miss Liberia. The holder of the Miss Liberia’s franchise and host of this year’s Miss Liberia Beauty pageant, outlined requirements to be able to compete, the general activities associated with the quest for the crown and announced the dates for auditions to be held to the contestants.

The 25th edition of Miss Liberia, is set for an explosive and entertaining fiesta, “Celebrating Liberia’s: Culture, History and Tourism”, in December of 2021. Elaborating, Zubin Cooper, CEO of XL Entertainment, informed the participants about the Miss Liberia Boot Camp, the Miss Liberia Hackathon, the Cultural Extravaganza, the Miss Liberia Foundation launch and the schedule for the auditions. He also noted, “The Miss Liberia pageant auditions were to be held months ago, but due to The covid 19 pandemic, it was postponed. But we now have dates to start the Auditions and set us on the path to crowning our next Queen”. The Host of Miss Liberia 2021/2022, outlined that the Auditions are to be held on a regional basis, with Grand Bassa County being the first county to host the auditions.

Region 1: Grand Bassa, Rivercess, and Sinoe , Audition will be held on Wednesday, 15th of September in Buchanan.

Region2: Grand Cape Mount, Gbarpolu and Bomi, Audition is the 18th of September in Robersport.

Region3: Nimba, B**g, and Lofa, Audition will be held in Ganta on the 22nd of September.

Region 4: Maryland, Grand Kru, Grand Gedeh, and River Gee, being held in Harper(Conditional upon accessibility and Safety) on the 25th of September

Region 5: Margibi and Montserrado, on the 29th of September in Kakata

Application forms are still available and can be picked up from the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism, the Icampus, XL-Entertainment offices and will be available at the audition venues. The forms cost $25 USD only.

XL-Entertainment is pleased to announce the start of the Miss Liberia 2021 application process on Wednesday June 23, 2021. Forms will be available at various locations, MICAT, XL-Ent offices, and iCampus for a fee of $25 USD. The application process will continue for a period of fourteen (14) days, ending on the 7th of July 2021. Auditions will then be held from 10th of July to the 31st of July for a period of twenty-one (21) days. The auditions will be conducted on a zonal basis with the following zones:

Zone 1 Grand Gedeh, Grand Kru, Maryland and River Gee –
auditions to be held in Harper City, Maryland County
Zone 2 Grand Bassa, Sinoe and Rivercess – auditions to be
held in Buchanan City, Grand Bassa County
Zone 3 B**g, Lofa and Nimba – auditions to be held in
Gbarnga City, B**g County
Zone 4 Bomi, Gbarpolu and Grand Cape Mount – auditions
to be held in Tubmanburg City, Bomi County
Zone 5 Margibi and Montserrado – auditions to be held in
Kakata City, Margibi County

At the close of the auditions, the selected princesses will be informed and apprised of the full schedule and requirements thereof. A maximum of three princesses per county will be selected to widen the talent pool. All selected princesses will be divided into groups that will go head-to-head in various challenges, training, and tasks over a three-month period. During this period at intervals, some princesses will be dropped out of contention. At the conclusion of this process the final fifteen princesses representing their county of origin will be selected, constituting the final contestants to compete for the Miss Liberia crown.
To be eligible to contest in Miss Liberia 18-27 one must be, a high school graduate, unmarried, no children, a clean criminal record, a clean bill of health, a minimum of 5’6” in heels, of reputable character and deportment.

Prizes to be competed for by the contestants include, vehicles, cash prizes, electronic gadgets such as phones, tablets, iPads, foreign travel, brand ambassadorships with our partners, scholarships, VIP memberships, challenge and task prizes, etc…

Please note that our activities will also be guided by the ongoing response to the global COVID-19 pandemic and are subject to adjustment; however, the process will continue albeit with adjustments due to health and safety concerns of all Liberians.

XL-Entertainment pledges and is committed to delivery of a pageant of note and glamour, with the glitz, and pomp that the Miss Liberia pageant deserves.

XL-Entertainment (XL-Ent) has just signed a partnership agreement with TicketPekin, a Liberian marketing and online ticket provider. The agreement which covers all XL-Ent events, will allow for online purchase of all classes of tickets using a variety of payment methods; as well as a new marketing platform for said events. TicketPekin is owned by two young Liberian entrepreneurs.

This is one of many exciting partnerships XL-Entertainment is entering into as we work together to grow the Liberian entertainment industry and landscape; while promoting our arts, culture and tourism.
