The Nigel Sylvester x Air Jordan 4 RM SP 'Grandma’s Driveway' and the 'Anthracite' colorway are definitely in my top 5 sneaker collaborations of the year🔥🔥.The overall ex*****on of these sneakers—from the story behind them to the design, the box’s artwork, and even the smallest details—is just so authentic. It’s clear that a lot of thought and passion went into these releases. I’d love to see Nike continue with this kind of storytelling in future collaborations. Collaborations with meaning and purpose truly elevate the culture.

Hear me out 👂

Nike has had the poorest roll out plan for the past 3 months, especially with the Nike Footscapes. The Nike Footscapes were originally designed in 1996 by swooshes advanced projects engineering group and came back advanced in the late 2000 with the woven design 🔥. They later came back with a more advanced design of the woven in 2016 but I guess commercially to Nike , it didn’t make sense so they had to archive it.

Until they decided again to bring it back earlier this year which had most of the sneaker heads excited and looking forward to the drop date. I for one was happy with the cow print in frame 2 and the WMN woven in frame 1. But we started seeing a release almost every other week which birthed so many color ways which I think were not necessary like the unicorn color way on frame 3 & many more. If only this shoe wasn’t costly, we’d be seeing it everywhere. 🚶🏽‍♀️🚶🏽‍♀️🚶🏽‍♀️

The owner & Founder of The Sneaker Corner 👟👟, Itumeleng Letsapo got featured in the biggest Hip Hop magazine in Africa, where she represented Lesotho’s Women In African Hip Hop & she spoke about the ever growing culture of sneakers in the country , where we have seen the emergence of Basotho owned sneakers like the City Kings sneakers & the BNA Mokorotlo Design sneakers , showing the growth of this culture in the not only the industry but the entire country.

She also touches base on the amount of counterfeit sneakers being sold as lack of knowledge about authentic footwear , which she hopes to further educate folks on the difference between “Fugazis” and what’s real and further elevate and the sneaker culture in Lesotho by collaborating with prominent footwear brands like sportscene, PUMA, Vans , Nike and many more.
