From the moment I started my business, I knew I wanted to keep things broad and eventually become more of a general entertainer, than only a celebrant.

Fun fact I didn’t even have to register my business name, because it’s just my name 💁🏻‍♀️

has done a STELLAR job transforming my website from mainly weddings with a bitta event stuff, to now weddings being just one of the ways I bring 🎶joy to the world🎶

On the one year anniversary of my abortion in 2020, I stopped sleeping. This was a post-traumatic stress symptom called the “anniversary effect”.

I was also unofficially diagnosed with mild anxiety. “High functioning” anxiety, if you will.

And it’s likely I’ve always operated from that place 🏃🏻‍♀️

I was put on meds and from the very first night, my sleep was great. The intention was to only be on them for 6-12 months, to support my nervous system while I did the other work I needed to do to heal and sort my life out.

Well 3+ years later I was still on them, and it felt time to taper off and see how I felt now that I have flipped my life on its whole-arse HEAD.

The last couple of weeks have been interesting, with my brain recalibrating and my chemicals sorting THEIR lives out.

I feel like I’ve had rebound anxiety. In the way that I only realised I had it, at the same time I got it treated/masked.

So it’s not something I’ve consciously felt or acknowledged before.

The worst symptom finding it hard to eat 😭
And my sleep has also been inconsistent 😒

I think being overstimulated as s**t 24/7 has a lot to answer for. I spend FAR too much time on my phone/on socials, and that’s only gotten worse since starting my business.

So I’ve made a few changes:

📱 No longer staring at my phone as soon as I open my eyes (making it ALL THE WAY until I’m having breaky to read my fan mail)
📱 Trying to not look at my phone from 8/9pm
📱 Less doom scrolling
📱 Turned off even more notifications & moved my social + email apps not only off my first page, but to the LAST motherf**kin’ page 💪🏼

Am also

🧘🏻‍♀️ Doing breathwork
☕️ Being more mindful about caffeine
😴 Body scanning and other sleepy techniques

I need to move my sexy bod more though 🏋🏻‍♀️

All the while holding space for the fact that yes, my life HAS changed dramatically recently. Quitting my job, renting my place out, moving in with a BOY, and navigating what it is to work for myself full time 🤯

So - anything else I should try to keep my cortisol at bay and help me sleep like... any given man? 😏

I wanted an abortion... but do I want kids now?

Writing this article was such a helpful exercise to get my racing thoughts out of my head, so thank you for publishing me a second time!

... EVERYBODY is a main character ⭐

EVERYBODY gets (police) escorted down the aisle 👮🏻‍♀️

And luckily EVERYBODY passed their field sobriety test, able to walk in a straight line 🍻

Lisa (the cop) & Ryan (the kid) are possibly the most family-oriented leading lad and lady I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting, and they wanted the whole cast to have their own curtain call.
